Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Artwork - interesting story
Review: First of all Saint Legend has beautiful artwork. I gave it 5 stars because 1. the artwork is amazing and 2. the story pulls you into the adventure and keeps you reading on. The Illustrator Andy Seto works out of Hong Kong and not Japan so theres lots of Chinese Culture in this. The artwork looks like Manga and Western comic styles combined. I love the artwork because it never looks too Manga looking. Andy Setos character designs resemble those from the King of Fighters videogame series. This is one graphic novel where the cover art does'nt lead you on. As for the story its great make sure to start out with the first book. The story is about these 8 immortal beings who fight demons and the like but its very cool. Most of the characters fight with swords but not like Dragon Ball Z or some gun crazy thing but the weapons are very cool futuristic looking..the story is based in this time frame so its no medieval or anything. The only thing I can find wrong with the first book (which is the only one that I've got so far) is that sometimes the action is hard to follow from panel to panel and can get confusing but its nothing serious they have included little arrows in the panels when it gets confusing to help you follow the action. Other than that this book is awsome im hooked and just ordered the other two books. Check this book out if you like action, sword fighting comics or manga like Ninja Scroll.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Gods and Monsters
Review: For someone raised on American comics, Saint Legend is a great treat. Andy Seto is a dynamic storyteller - the pages are fresh and vivid. His characters are powerful and sexy. In every volume of Saint Legend, I have been sucked into Seto's future world where the spirit of humanity is being judged in the guise of immortals battling it out in the far corners of the globe.

In Volume 5: See the Monkey King fight the cold & powerful Apex! See Apex's slow climb to power and heartbreak! See Lotus and Master Lu in a compromising position! And that's just the headlines.

Check it out.
