Summary: Sketchy yet wickedly humorous cartoons and visual puns
Review: Drunk With Pleasure is a collection of simple, sketchy yet wickedly humorous cartoons and visual puns, all involving wine or alcohol. Drawn in a minimalist style with splashes of color, these chuckle-inducing single-panel scenes include a play on the phrase "Life is unfair!" as "Life is un verre!", i.e. a delicious drink. A glossary of wine terms to better contribute to understanding the cartoons rounds out this amusing collection especially recommended for giving wine connoisseurs a chuckle.

Summary: Very punny wine book
Review: Nick Wadley, an artist who has written scholarly works about 19th century French art, turns to a tongue-in-cheek book celebrating wine. Through simple line drawings and a wonderful set of inventive wine name puns, the author captures the essence of wines through creative word play. He paints wine varieties such as "leap frog milk" to denote "liebfraumilch" and "Santa million" for a St. Emilion bordeaux. He uses fanciful drawings to depict word play like "Mary had a little lambrusco" and "Vin Gogh." There is a glossary "for those who like their puns explained." This little book will delight the oenophile with a sense of humor.
