Summary: Very Good
Review: Aliens vs Predator War isn't a toatally original concept interms of story line that the main comics take in this collection. Most of what happens at the end can be found in the novel "Aliens vs Predator Hunter's Planet" although there is some variation between the two. The Predator character "Shorty" appears in both, is killed by Machiko in both, but is killed in different ways. Others may find more differences than what I've found. The mission to capture the queen is almost word for word in the novel as it is in the comic. That's my review of story line. Now the art. In the first story of the collection (I know they're not all connected) the art is great, and with Aliens vs Predator Duel the art is great also. The beginning of Alien vs Predator War with the Queen capture mission is super, but as the issues (or pages for this is a collection of the issues) the art becomes in my opinion progressivley worse. They story lines are good, as well as most of the art in this collection. The stories, "most" of the art and the comic covers at the end are the reasons I bought this title, that and I'm a big Predator fan.

Summary: One of the Best AvP on the market
Review: I just finished the book in one day, I already ordered the comic, and yes I agree that Perry or whoever should make a movie of it.

Summary: Noguchi Rocks!
Review: This is actually a compilation of thre different aliens versus predator comics.

The first deals with a predator who doesn't follow the rules, and the consequences for him.

The second deals with marine squad sent to ruishi after noguchio has departed. They encounter a predator ship, and manage to piss off both the escaped aliens and the predators.

The third is the comic the book is named after: aliens versus predator: war. This book deals with Noguchi after she joins the predators. Once again, the planet the predators choose is inhabited by humans, and now Noguchi must decide whether to stay with the predators and let the humans die, or risk certain death fighting against the hordes of aliens and predators on the planet to save a handful of people.

For those of you who have read the novelization, it is just that, a novelisation. The novel is based on the comic, not the other way around (the comic is 4 years older than the book), so don't get mad at the novel for not following the book exactly.

This is an excellent continuation of the aliens vs. predator series. I very strongly recommend reading aliens vs. predator and aliens:berserker first. Otherwise, the comic will make little sense.
