Rating: Summary: This book is really nice and good! Review: .......) and I think it is worth it. It has many pages of colorful pictures. I am the Sailor Moon picture maniak so I go crazy about them, especially if I have never seen one. The book has lots of info too. Those books were first made in japan yeasr ago and I know you can still purchase Japanese books too, exept they have Japanese writtin.......I would like to know the differences of the American and Japenese versions. The book is great, especially if you are a Sailor Moon collector like me. How can you resist such full color petite cute book. I think that all SM fans out there should be collecting SM stuff. I don't know why not. If you are a dubb or a sub fan, which doesn't really matter cuz you WILL luv the book. Don't listen to those sub lovers maniaks they are all crazy about the original SM and hate each American SM products. They got problem! The book is great don't listen to them!
Rating: Summary: ummmm.... yeah Review: I bought this book thinkin "o new info on sailor moon, great" but when I got it, I realized it was just the basics that most moonies know anyway. I was also expecting it to be completly horizontal lines. but no, the author had to throw in some verticals so you have to either tilt your head in an uncomfortable position or move the book back and forth. But for newbies who really like the show and have only seen the dubs, it's great, lots of nice pictures and an inside look at Usagi/Serena. But for fans who know everything about her, it's only good for collector purposes. I also think the publishers should have gone over it better to clean it up a bit and not allow the vertical lines, which get very annoying after a while. and I think the author should have waited until she saw the SuperS series at least! but it's an ok book I guess.
Rating: Summary: Always fun Review: I don't think Naoko Takeuchi has ever been involved in something I didn't like. As for "Meet Sailor Moon," I have to say I enjoyed it. It has all the little bits of information you never learn on the show or in the comics. Plus, there are great pics from the show and tons of great quotes.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing :( Review: I just bought this a few months ago, and boy! was I in for a surprise!! When I first saw this book, I flipped through the pages and I noticed all the cool pics from the anime. It also has some pics from the Japanese version, too! This SM book is really informative. It has many insights into Serena Tsukino's life, her transformations, special fighting moves, fashion, family, and friends. In addition, it features summaries of never-before-seen episodes that only aired in Japan, an encyclopedia full of FAQs, and a couple of lovely poems. But I only gave this book 4 stars for several reasons: 1. It's a bit pricey at a cost of $13.00. 2. The book only covers the first 3 seasons (BSSM, R, and S)and doesn't include Super S and/or Stars. Since, this book was published in America before Super S and Stars had ever reached our shores. 3. The Outer Senshi still have their Japanese names. For example, Sailor Pluto is Setsuna instead of Trista, considering the fact that it's mainly made for the dubbed version. I would think they've gotten names right already. 4. (This refers to No. 3) Some of her attacks are named differently, such as Moon Tiara Action instead of Moon Tiara Magic. But, overall this is a pretty good book that any SM fan would enjoy. I know I have! It's a must-get, must-read, highly recommend book!
Rating: Summary: The BEST Sailor Moon book of them all! Review: I thought this book was the best Sailor Moon book published since they started publishing Sailor Moon manga comics. Reason being is that this book is full of bright colored and detailed pictures. It shows Sailor Moon at her best page by page. The only complaint that anyone could possibly have about the book is that it only covers 3 seasons it goes up to Sailor Moon S so it doesn't give you any info on the other seasons such as SuperS and Stars. Overall the book is still extremely fun to read and extremely informative ! It also makes a great collecter item or just a fun easy novel to read for any age group.
Rating: Summary: Go Sailor Moon! Review: I was really debating whether or not to get this book. A, it was expensive, and B, it didn't look like their was a lot of reading in it. I decided to get it, and I'm glad I did. Since Moon is the most popular of the Sailors, this book is snatched up quickly. I was very happy with the book. It had facts on Serena and her alter-ego, Sailor Moon, 50 secrets (faves, stats, friends, etc.), A guide to the 5 best Sailor Moon epsodes, A Sailor Moon encyclopedia, A transformation gallery (many nice pics in it), A guide to friends and family, Her famous lines, famous battles, and two poems/illustrations. This book has tons and tons of colored pictures, many of them funny and cute. You get to know Sailor Moon according to Serena herself, so its funny. If you like Sailor Moon, you are sure to like this. Something else about this book: I didn't know a ton about Sailor Moon, so this book was very imformative.
Rating: Summary: Well, it's well written and well informed Review: If you have nothing to know about Sailormoon/Serena then this is the book for you. This gives you all the facts: birthdays, friends, favroite shows, even her likes and dislikes. It even explains the family a bit also. I own this book and the one thing I love is the artwork, and the pages showing pictures of the transformations and the attacks. It's a total guide into the life of Serena.
Rating: Summary: A Little Bit More Review: It's obvious that because Sailor Moon is the star of the show, more work and information was put into this book then the others. You can tell by the way the title is written in gold letters that reflect rainbow colors that it is special. Besides being about the star, this book is also the last Scout Guide. There are, of course, more transformations and attacks for Sailor Moon because she has developed more over the seasons. I still think the pictures showing her transformations, attacks, episodes, etc. could have been better organized, and made to be easier to follow for the main audience these Scout Guides should be targeting, new Sailor Moon fans who want to learn more about the anime show that has quickly become their favorite. Long-time, die hard fans will find the Scout Guides to be boring, because most of the pictures and information is taken from the TV series and movies. But even though I am a long time fan, I still missed the first few seasons of the show, and enjoy easy reads, so I like the Scout Guides. I randomly flip to certain pages and read, or compare the pictures with those of other Scout Guides. I personally think this is an interesting book for any Sailor Moon fan, but if you're a huge fan expecting exclusive information, you might be buying this book for the wrong reason.
CAUTION: This book contains very mature content. To parents looking into this book for their children, this is not a childrens' book! If I remember correctly, it is sold in the young adult section of bookstores, and is not meant to be read by children under twelve or thirteen.
Rating: Summary: Very Good!!! Review: This book was awesome! I must admit, it was pricey, but well worth it! Michelle really knows what she's talking about!
Rating: Summary: ummmm.... yeah Review: This book, Meet Sailor Moon: Crystal, was obviously made to encourage more fans to learn about Sailor Moon. HOWEVER, if you are a REAL Sailor Moon fan, this stuff should come as a big "DUH" sign in front of you. I mean, don't we all know that Usagi is the Princess of the Moon? Why do they call it a "secret", then? Another REALLY annoying thing is that this book is too short and incomplete. It's only 96 pages (about 1/6 of an inch), and they do not show her SuperS info or her StarS info (such as Eternal Sailor Moon). So DIE-HARD collectors, get this book. Regular fans, it's already what you know, so why spend money on it?
