Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent
Review: I've been a fan of Amano since I first ran across his paintings for the Vampire Hunter D novels on the net several years back. The book collects hundreds of pieces, all from the D series. Most of the book is made up of Amano's ink sketches, but there are plenty of his lush paintings included. The book collects all of Amano's D work, so it spans several vears showing the evolution of his style. My one complaint is the size of the book. It's really a very thick book, but is about the size of a standard trade paperback book making it hard to open wide enough to see the true beauty of the work inside without damaging the spine. Everything else about the book is truly astounding.
