Summary: Finally, how to draw men!
Review: A true resource for anyone wishing to draw anime/manga style male figures geared towards the "average man" to "pretty boy style". This book covers basic body techniques (heads, hands, feet, torsal, legs, and arms), along with basic hairstyles, elderly facial expressions, business suits, uniforms, and casual clothing. Body types covered are: teenage male age 12 approx., college student age 20-28, and a slightly buff man age 20-28. There are also a couple of pages dedicated to elongating the figure to mimic the classic "shojo style" in Japanese girl comics. A mixture of nude and clothed figure (all illustrated, no photos, and missing you know what...) both rendered in the clean line anime style, and a cross hatching style to highlight muscle groups.

Summary: Great book which would be better if I read Japanese!
Review: This book has great illustrations and stuff to work with for beginners. It is even useful for those like myself who cannot read the instructions in japanese. It's possible I might have missed it, though I doubt it, but when I ordered it I don't at all recall the title of the book to have "japanese text edition" included anywhere on the page describing the book. I wouldn't have ordered it otherwise. But, I am not really disappointed that I did, it does have good drawings that will be very helpful as I learn to draw manga, it just stinks that I can't read what it says. If you do want to get it and you don't read japanese, I do want to remind you that the japanese read from what we consider to be the back of the book to the front. (Just in case you want to start from the beginning!)
