Summary: Funny, Funny, Funny!!!!!!!
Review: First of all let's get some facts straight, Robert Trebor is NOT the illustrator of the book. He is the wickedly funny AUTHOR of the book, unless of course Salmoneus actually is the author in which case Mr. Trebor does an amazing job of translating unknown languages. But I suspect it's the former. This is a book that can be appreciated by kids and adults, each gleaning something different and entertaining from it depending on levels of sophistication. You can be a fan of Hercules and Xena, but you need not be to get many hearty chuckles. All you have to do is be familiar with American pop culture and/or the political scene over the past few years. I mean how can a person not love dear old Sal giving financial advice to Bill Gates and Donald Trump? Not to mention giving romantic advice to Dr. Laura, Dr. Ruth, and Madame Bovary! Trebor's got a great imagination! Salmoneus even gives advice to the Mona Lisa, Leonardo diCaprio, and the Little Engine That Could! This book will be enjoyed by anyone with half a sense of humor or more. By the way, apparently Salmoneus is resposible for Stanley Kubrick's decision to make very few films. But as Sal says, "Stan, quality is more important than quantity".
