I should mention that in Bess, Jodorowsky has once again found a worthy foil realize his singular visions. 'Son' touches on a few themes that Jodo is no stranger to. Fans of 'El Topo' will no doubt spot these, but there's a truly dark, lean quality to this story that may shock even his long-time fans.
