Summary: A New Twist on Romantic Comedies
Review: Here's the typical love comedy manga; the guy loves the girl, the girl is an uptight gal who has too much dignity for his case, guy spends 27 volumes going through crazy antics until he breaks the hearts of at least 5 other women till he gets this girl to say she likes him a little more than she thought and the story ends.

Okay, so for those of you who would like something refreshingly different, this is Tuxedo Gin, the story of a guy (Ginji) and a girl (Minako) who fall in love at first sight. But before their first date, Ginji gets in an accident and dies. Fortunately, old angel dude comes to the rescue, claiming that if Ginji can live out his life as an animal, he can be restored to his old body and he and the love of his life can live happily ever after. So for that, he turns himself into a penguin, Minako's favorite animal. And after spending 6 months in the zoo, by pure coincidence, he ends up escaping and living with Minako under the name Gin-chan! And that's where the fun begins.

Tuxedo Gin is funny (correction-HILARIOUS), charming, and original. Though at some points it can be a little disgusting (Sexual references, Gin constantly attacking man-balls[seeing as it's pretty much all he can reach], and shots of Minako topless), it's still a fun manga to read. The only problem is this manga seems to be more of a collection of short stories of Gin's life as a penguin and less moving along with the plot. Of course, the great art and almost true-to-life laughs will make up for that. For anyone who likes romantic comedies that are there when you need something new or just a laugh, this is what the doctor ordered.

Summary: Great little magna for penguin lovers
Review: Like the Seattle reviewer, I also only bought the book because I am a big penguin fan. The book starts off slows, and it is awkward as a westerner to read it right-to-left style, but it is worth it. The subtle comedy and the nifty drama makes it a can't-put-down book. Seeing a penguin try martial art moves, or the varios sprinkling of penguin trivia, just makes it the perfect magna for penguin lovers.

A must have if you love penguins.

Summary: Better than most
Review: This manga is surprisingly good, containing a good mix of comedy and romance.

Graphic: 5/5, Crisp and Clean
Storyline: 4.5/5, Excellent mix of Comedy and Romance - I suppose it's heartfelt if you're a male
Characters: 4.5/5, a bit static at time and each has simple motives, but the motives help in each storyline and you gain a better feel about the characters with each story.

Overall: 4.9/5 - One of my top ten favorite mangas.
