Summary: Hardly compares to the anime.
Review: Being a huge Tenchi fan, of the OAV and TV series, I think I would know a good Tenchi story. This isn't one of them. Compared to the OAV series it is based on, to the television / Tenchi Universe series, and to any other manga I've read, this was just boring. It has hardly any humour (or rather none worth laughing at), and the storyline itself is too unoriginal to bother reading again. I've read LOTS of manga and seen the entire Tenchi OAV series, so I should know. I'm dissapointed that the creator didn't do a better job of making a sequel comparable to the original series. ...

Summary: Realy Spiffy Book!
Review: I love all things Tenchi, and these "visual novels" have to be the most interesting way to read or view Tanchi. Once you have seen the ova or edited versions of Tenchi Muyo or Universe you will most likely know what is going on, at leased in the begining. Washu( my favorite!) is a very important character in the plot, and in the middle and the end Ryoko shows that she has something up in there in her sometimes seamingly vacant head(no offence to Ryoko fans but she sometime lacks common sense!). The art is also very good, but all of the "swooshes" and "heyas" get a little annoying. DO NOT BUY SWORD PLAY(THE NEXT BOOK) UNTILL YOU READ THIS ONE! You will be reeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllly confused! This book ends like an episode of Tenchi; at the oddest moment, like when Washu makes a remark that makes you think. All the way thought this book is awsome. Buy it! You will never regret it!

Summary: Exellent! Action-packed and hilarious!
Review: I ordered the first couple of these graphic novels because I was fond of the Tenchi Muyo! OVA series. The comic picks up where the OVA left off (so, you might want to watch the OVA before you read them).

While some of the material may not be suitable for young children, it is very entertaining. Hitoshi Okuda strikes a perfect balance between action and humor. I'm looking forward to reading more.

Summary: What did you want?
Review: If the answer is more Tenchi madness, this is what you'll get. I will admit that was was leery of any translation by Viz, but those suspiscions were put to rest after the first few pages. I managed to find a Japanese copy and worked out the translations on my own and was pleasantly surprised to find that the English version is farly close to the Japanese. I liked the direction the author was going with the series and look forward to more. If you are as big of a Tenchi otaku as I am, then you cannot pass this up. Go, buy it now! shoo shoo

Summary: "No Need for Endings" is not the end of Tenchi! Whew!
Review: No doubt about it...I love Tenchi! And I have really enjoyed the "No Need for Tenchi" series by Hitoshi Okuda. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Vol. 12 is the last of the "No Need for Tenchi" series. I was very sad to think that I wasn't going to be able to get a fresh Tenchi fix anymore! I have enjoyed the continuing adventures of Tenchi in this series so much that, as Ryoko says on the final page of the final story, "I can't imagine living apart from Tenchi...from everyone...anymore...."

Then I discovered that Hitoshi Okuda has embarked upon a NEW comic series featuring Tenchi and company. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the next issue of "The All-New Tenchi Muyo!" Yippee!

So get volume 12 of this great series, and enjoy -- there really is no need for endings!

Summary: NO NEED FOR TENCHI!
Review: No need for Tenchi has excellent art! It's an action pack adventure. It has romance, fighting, humor, and much more! If you have ever seen the tv series then you gotta read this this manga! I personally think it's much better than the series on tv. Well if you did see the tv series the manga continues at the part on Tenchi Muyo were Tenchi defeats Kagato! Also another reason why this is a good manga too read is the character Ryo-oh-ki she's so cute! Ryo-oh-ki isn't your normal house pet she's a rabbit/cat/girl/spaceship! The characters in this story travel all over the Universe! Well if I continue I'll end up telling you all the hole story!

Summary: guess I'm in the minority here...
Review: This book starts with what I think is a many page explanation of everything that's happened before the events of the beginning of this volume. Since this is the first volume, as far as I know, I guess that means that this is an explanation of things that happened in the series. I've never seen any of the series, something which I think crippled my enjoyment of this book. The explanation at the beginning seemed like it should have helped, but all it did was confuse me more. I had a hard time keeping track of who all the characters were, what they were, and why they were there. The rest of the book didn't explain that all for me either. I spent a lot of time vaguely interested, but mostly confused. So, if you've never heard of this before or you've never seen the series, then this is probably not the book for you.

Summary: I Love This Sooooo Much ^_^
Review: This is really great! If you are an anime fan, you really need to buy this. If you are a Tenchi Muyo fan, you must buy this. I loved the story and the art excedes even that of the OVA series. Over all, it's a good read!
