Rating: Summary: There is only one book in this "series" Review: CLAMP only wrote one book. There weren't any other volumes published even in Japan. I would guess that it either wasn't supported there or was not looked upon favorably by the entire CLAMP staff. This one volume work was published quite a while ago, and therefore will most likely never be continued.
I haven't actually read this book, although I do own the Japanese version. I plan to read the English version sometime this year, but at the moment it isn't on the top of my list of priorities. So please disregard my rating of this book. I just couldn't resist informing others that there really is only one volume in this series.
Rating:  Summary: It looks like a one-shot, but where's the rest of it? Review: It's titled 'Legend of Chun Hyang', and the cover is un-numbered... I picked it up because I thought it was a one-shot -- I wasn't really in the mood to be sucked into a gigantic story. If I was, I'd've probably picked up something else. However, I think there's more to this novel, especially after reading some of the text on the chapter beginnings... more things have to happen than just these three little stories in order to finish the entire tale of Chun Hyang. The art is astounding as always, and it's starting out as a cute story, though. Sure, it's a little bit predictable, but what isn't nowadays? Cute girls and overly-forward guys are all over the manga shelves. It's not that I'm not looking forward to the rest of the tale -- it's just that I'm not terribly looking forward to having to wait for it to be translated. ^^;
Rating: Summary: This Chun Hyang is a little deferent Review: she is SPUNKY
CLAMPS spunky version of Korea's legendary Chun Hyang was lots of fun to read. First it is in right to left format which makes it easier to read, as it matches the orientation of the drawings. Clamps character designs are as usual excellent reminiscent of RG VETA. The three wonderful stories are both happy and sad, and there is a fun story at the end. Although this Manga was probity written for teenage girls, I am a sure boy and even adults will enjoy the stories, and the beautiful artwork. I am afraid this is the only volume for the Legend of Chun Hyang, but I hope that maybe CLAMP will create more volumes of these wonderful stories.
Rating: Summary: A nice read Review: The Legend of Chun Hyang is a nice read at only one volume, but may not be exactly what the reader expects. To begin with, this book is by Clamp, so of course the artwook is very beautiful and clean throughout the entire volume. One who enjoys detailed artwork could buy this book and be satisfied just with that. But the story is a little different than advertised. This book does not exactly tell the full legend of chun-hyang. A brief history of the real legend is given in the beginning of the book, but the actual stories don't really tell the story. It's sort of like Clamp's other works, such as Clamp School Detectives. Each chapter tells a little story about the characters' adventures but there isn't really a strong main plot line. For this reason, I gave the book 4 stars. The book has 3 chapters, the first of which seems to begin to tell the legend, but...the other two don't really follow up on it. Other than that problem, the book was really very good. There's adventure and fight scenes, sad situations, and a little bit of romantic comedy. If you're looking for a nice little adventure to enjoy with beautiful artwook, then this book is for you.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Book Review: This is my first bought Clamp book and i'm very glad for buying it. As always, Clamp's Art is beautiful and the main guy is very hot (ponytail). It's a single book so you one have to buy the one, Altough I wouldn't mind if it was a series cuz its REALLY good. The only thing about it is that theres no kissing *pout*, thats why I gave it a four. But theres great romantic comedy between Chun Hyang and the hot guy (forgot his name). This book also has a few very sad scenes, but its all good 'cuz it makes you love the characters more. Sorry if im not making sense and sorry for my lack of grammer. But, anyway, I recommend this to anyone who doesn't collect books just for kissing scenes. Ja!
