Summary: worth the price of ebook
Review: (This applies to the entire series)
Sarai is an action comic, but it shouldn't be advised for ages under 17 (as i think the label says) since there are often somewhat explicit pictures. However, they are not gratuitous (usually... there are a few overblown instances) and fairly unintrusive as far as the story moves along. What drew me in most about this book by far though was the art; the characters are very well drawn according to typical manga standards, but the backgrounds and sceenery are often simply amazing.. much more effort than typically sceen in a comic (particulary a relatively unknown one). For people looking for an epic story though, this isn't the right book, it's got eye candy enough for everybody, and is well paced so that it's never dull, but frankly, it never made me wonder "what if the world were like this..." overall, it's a fun and fast paced breather from some of the more lengthy and involved titles.

Summary: The 'Sarai' series is surprisingly entertaining!
Review: Warrior girls who dress like French maids? It sounds a bit too silly to even be worthy of E-book format, never mind actual print.... but Masahiro Shibata pulls it off!

The storyline spanning the second half of Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 is particularly powerful, dealing both with the genetic problems facing the world (mentioned in amazon's editorial review) and the mission of Sarai's order of 'guard maids.'

I was actually a bit surprised at how clear the art displays on the current version of Adobe Reader; the software has come a long, long way in just a few short years! The format truly is for more than just swapping files in the production department now!
