Summary: Great

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Newest Fox Trot Treasury is one of the finest
Review: As much as I love FoxTrot, I've held off on the collection, buying the treasuries instead. Sure, it means I have to wait longer for my fix, but I wind up with a much more managable collection that way.

This most recent collection collects the last couple of years of the comic strip, including staples like Jason's geeking out for the "X-Men" and "Spider-Man" movies, and other things like the strip's quiet and touching statement on September 11. In a day where many newspaper comic strips have become bland and homogenized, pale reflections of great strips of the past, FoxTrot remains sharp, funny and clever, with characters instead of caricatures, timely stories that comment on pop culture and the techno world and the occasional flash of brilliance. This is the best thing about picking up a newspaper in the morning.

Summary: All Foxtrot books rock
Review: Foxtrot books are the best comics ever! they are the funiest and science orentied. The reason for anthogys is if you didnt read all of the other books you can get 2-3 for a fraction of the price of the collection.

Summary: Maximus doesn't do it justice!!
Review: Foxtrot has become one of the most popular syndicated comic strips in recent history. With tech-geek humor and pop culture references from a wide variety of ages, Foxtrot can be enjoyed by everyone. Featured in this collection are "Your Momma Thinks Square Roots are Vegetables," "Who's Up For Some Bonding?" and "Am I a Mutant, or What!!" Even if you're an avid follower of this series, I still recommend this book to add to your collection. I always seem to find strips that I missed or had forgotten.

Also, an interesting side note, this book features the strips written after September 11, 2001 where Roger donates blood and Jason wonders why.

Summary: Still Hilarious
Review: I discovered the Fox family when I went away to college and encountered some new strips in the local newspapers. It's been almost 10 years since then, and I still love this strip.

This book collects 2 years worth of strips into one book. These strips were previous released as "Your Momma Thinks Square Roots are Vegetables," "Who's Up for Some Bonding?" and "Am I a Mutant, or What!"

What I appreciate is that Bill Amend is still able to find the humor in situations we already know. After all, has anything changed in this family since the strip started? Nope. Yet I found myself smiling, giggling, and laughing my way through this wonderful collection.

As always, current culture and daily life are offered up with humor and satire. I've always been a sucker for Jason's over the top reactions to movies, and here we get the first two Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, Star Wars Episode II, and Harry Potter. That week in particular is funny with the inclusion of Eileen into the mix. On the home front, we get Peter listening to "The Odyssey" in his sleep, Rodger making a trip to Costclub for Halloween candy, Peter getting sick right before Thanksgiving, and Paige getting an autographed picture of the Backsync Boys.

Truly great comic strips seem to be hard to find these days, so I really treasure the ones I find. This is one of the best and will entertain anyone looking to laugh at themselves and our culture.

Summary: Good Stuff
Review: It's ironic that people who are buying books aren't reading carefully. The complaint of other readers here is that Amend has republished older strips...Well, that's always been the case with the bigger "treasury" books- all the smaller ones get published into a bigger anthology. If you don't have the previous three books, then get this anthology.
Fox Trot is my favorite comic strip- Amend has a creative sense of humor and a great memory of what it was like to be a kid.

Summary: You know you miss Calvin & Hobbes!
Review: Like many fans, after Calvin & Hobbes' magnificent run came to a close, we needed a new favorite. Fox Trot was the obvious choice. The humor is terrific, the characters classic, and the artwork is wonderfully simplistic. Also, like many fans, I have learned the trick of only buying the treasuries, which this is. So, I got to catch up on the last few years of Fox Trot with this single book. However, I must admit that this was the least pleasant Fox Trot read I have had to date. Jason's a good student, Paige likes boys, and Peter finds new ways to break eating records. We know. As wonderful as I think the Fox family is, I think they've run out of time. Perhaps an age change to spice things up? Peter and Paige in college, Jason in high school. What am I saying? If Watterson had tried that with Calvin, I would have boycotted. Maybe the best thing for Bill Amend to do is follow Watterson's lead. As painful as that is, we'll find a new favorite. Zits, anyone? I'm ready to go whenever anyone else is.
