Well, the three protagonists in How to Disappear Completely and Never be Found, Lizzie, and her daughters, Margaret and Sophie, have had the same routine every day, week, and year since Margaret and Sophie's dad drowned. On one Saturday, though things changed. Lizzie broke that rhythm and took her daughters to an island but did not tell them why. They bought a For Sale by Owner sign and went to an old run down mansion that they owned. Sophie wanted to live in the house not sell it. In the house next door lives Boyd who is in love with the mysterious comics that show up in middle of the night. Margaret finds a package addressed to her mother with some weird things in it, including the first book of the comics. What is really weird though is that Boyd has every comic published except the first one. Margaret sneaks back into the house and finds out more things about her father, the comics, and herself. The surprising turns in this story will keep you on your toes, waiting for more. Overall I really liked this book. It was a real page turner. Every other chapter was either narrated by Boyd or Margaret. You really wanted to read faster and faster because you felt you just had to see what happened to Sophie, Margaret or Boyd. I also like this book because there are so many details about setting, character, and speech that you feel like you are right there, in the mansion, scared out of your wits just like Margaret or running from the dark woods with Boyd. On the other hand though some details sometimes didn't make sense. Sometimes there were too many details to sort out so you could not understand. For example there were a couple characters that didn't need to be there and just made the book more confusing. Otherwise I really liked this book.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: NOT A How-To Book Review: How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found by Sara Nickerson was one of the best books I've read in a long time. This book was funny, entertaining, and original. The storyline was like nothing I have ever read before, and the characters were like no one I've ever come to meet. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone, that's how good it is.The book starts out in the point of view of Margaret Clairmont, one of the most entertaining characters in the book. Her sarcastic sense of humor kept even the most serious topics light and interesting. In the beginning of the story, Margaret is riding in the family truck with her mom and her little sister, Sophie. After a long time, the family arrives at a beautiful mansion. "I think we should move here. I think we should move here, mom." Sophie repeats several times. Her hopes are crushed when her mom says, "We're not moving here." Their mother, Lizzie, was planning on selling the house, not moving into it. After putting the For Sale sign in the ground, Lizzie instructs Margaret to put the shovel in the back of the house.
While on her way back, Margaret stumbles upon a back door, and her curiosity takes the best of her. Stepping inside for only a minute, Margaret discovers hundreds of boxes filled with junk. There were mannequin hands, old magazines, Christmas decorations-- you name it, it was there. Among the mess, Margaret finds the one thing that will change her life forever...a small parcel. Closer examination showed that this package was four years old, and someone had sent it to Margaret's mother... and she had sent it back... without even opening it.
This small box sends Margaret on the adventure of a lifetime, landing her in a frightening mystery. Who sent this to her mother? Why did they send it? And more importantly, why didn't she open it? So many questions left unanswered.
Want to know the answers? You'll just have to read How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found by Sara Nickerson to find out.

It had a slow start, but just as I was ready to put it down, it became very interesting. Sara Nickerson does a great job of creating a puzzle, and letting it slowly come together before your eyes. Always the unexpected, and very exciting. I really hope she writes more books, I will definitely buy them! Great book!

Though at first the story is a little depressing and hard to get into, it soon leaps into action and takes you off on a wonderful adventure with spectacular characters and a great mystery! Though I am not that big of a science fiction fan (at all) and the story itself was kind of odd with the RATT and everything, I very much enjoyed this book and If you are looking for a thrilling wondrous novel, I would definitely recommend this as a great book to read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Mystery piles on mystery in this book. Review: Margaret's father has been dead four years. He was a champion swimmer who drowned. Now Margaret's mother chain smokes, bites her fingernails, and sleeps all weekend --- every weekend. Margaret and her little sister Sophie know that they can't mention their father. There's something they don't know, though. Why is their mother trying to sell an old mansion on a beautiful island that Margaret and Sophie didn't even know they owned? Why can't they move into it? It's right next to the water, with its own canoe and everything. Supposedy no one is living there, but Margaret has seen something mysterious moving in the window. Then there are the comic books about a rat-man and the Drowning Ghost. These comic books appear anonymously every night inside of a locked library run by a mysterious librarian. They tell a fascinating story. Boyd, who lives next door to the mansion, reads these comics faithfully, and he believes every word. Margaret thinks that's weird, but lots of things on the island are weird. For example, it's really unexplainable what Margaret sees when she enters the mansion. Then something chases her and Boyd through the woods. They don't want to see whatever it is. Sometimes new editions of the comics appear, featuring Margaret, Boyd, and Sophie. The comics tell about things that really happened to them, and things that might. If these comics are true, then every full moon the rat-man and the Drowning Ghost meet for a battle. Why do they fight? Can only one win? Boyd says that both of them used to be real people. Are they, still? Mystery piles on mystery in this book, and it becomes very important that Margaret, Sophie, and Boyd find out two things. How can you disappear completely, never to be found? And, when it becomes a matter of life and death, can somebody still find you? --- Reviewed by Tamara Penny

Review: Reminiscent of The Twilight Zone and told in both text and graphic novel format, How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found is a surprisingly fun read. The story is quite complex, but the quirky characters help usher the book along. The one thing this book might have benefited from is a character list as sometimes it's hard to keep track of the story. Nevertheless, HtDCaNBF was very satisfying and fun to read.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: She was found Review: This book was pretty o.k. I liked the fact that the characters in the book were actually doing something and not just lolly gagging. It also is very suspenseful, and makes you want to read more.
