Review: This trade paperback collects The New Mutants 18-21 and showcases the great writing of Chris Claremont and the spectacular art of Bill Sienkiewicz. In this collection readers will see the appearance of a certain Rachel Summers into the X-Men timestream along with a glimpse of her horrific memory of her own time. There is also the first appearance of Warlock as he takes flight from his homeworld and "father" the Magus, as well as his acceptance onto the team. The crux of the story falls to the character of Danielle Moonstar, who battles a demon bear that has haunted her dreams. Dani nearly dies and the New Mutants defend her from the attacks of the demon bear while she goes under the knife. Tom Corsi and Sharon Friedlander are transformed forever into Native Americans and the demon bear releases its hold over Dani's parents, who were thought to be dead, upon its defeat. This is an essential story for New Mutants fans!
