Summary: I liked this book although it was sometimes hard to follow.
Review: I enjoyed Shadow Moon, although it was rather hard to follow in some places. I was disipointed to find that two of my favorite characters from the movie Willow had died before the end of the prolouge. Compared to the mvie this book was rather dismal though it has a bit of rye humor in places. It's a good book, it's just not light reading.

Summary: Exciting and different series
Review: I found this book one of my happiest finds of the year, and had a great time reading it. Comparing the movie to the 'sequel' it may help to consider the relationship of The Hobbit to The Lord of the Rings...the prequel a short, contained tale, the epic a grand sea-change in the entire inhabited world. Personally I did not like the movie that much--characters running about picking sides of a vague battle with no rationales for their choices. I thought Shadow Moon had characters that were complex in their motivations and desires, and the difficulty telling evil from good. The rest of the world was wondrous. The brownies went from irritating to helpful, and Willow made me want to cry. I anxiously await the next books.

Summary: Pure cinematic entertainment in book form!
Review: I've just finished reading Shadow Moon for the second time. All I can say this is very vivid, very entertaining fantasy in the Lucas tradition. Don't let all those negative reviews color your judgement. Shadow Moon is an excellent read.

Summary: I thought the book was excellent
Review: I thought this series of book wonderfully carried on the story begun in Willow. This book shows how Willow's power along with Elora's power have advanced. Overall a great book well worth reading!!

Summary: Unreadable
Review: Here's a random quote, decide for yourself: "Elora wonders if the whole point of the day is to kill her...Her clothes are too ornate and there are simply too many of them to allow her to go to the bathroom."

Summary: I saw room for improvement
Review: I thought this book was strange, but ok.I hated Elora the Brat and I wished they had more of Anakerie. She seemed to be the element of good in the story. To bad the Thunder Riders weren't on the good guys side [or were they?] because i know I wouldn't want to be on their bad side.I also miss the brownies and their sharp wits. More Sorsha and Madmartigan would hav gone a LONG way, too.

Summary: Good plot, bad implementation
Review: I have read the first two books in the series and found them to be quite interesting plot wise. I, like others have found that the book generally required more editing and overall clarity. I felt a need to reread some chapters/paragraphs just to fully understand there intended meaning. For the sake of a original plot I trudged through the drivel and realized the inspiration for the story lying beneath the flawed surface.

Summary: If you loved "Willow", You'll Hate This Book
Review: Did you love "Willow" because it was fast-paced, funny, tongue-in-cheek, had folks with good values and a happy ending? Well you'll hate this book which is tedious, self-important, humourless, full of folks with bad values, disgustingly violent and not only is the ending not happy - it isn't even an ending!

Summary: What the....?
Review: This book SUCKED!!! I don't know what Claremont and Lucas were thinking! I should have realized this when I read Star Wars by George!! That book sucked too!! The Movie was great but the book was an abortion just like this one. I can't even believe they wrote a second one in this dreadful series. They should have had Wayland Drew (who wrote Willow) write this one!!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Lost all of the good things we found in the movie.
Review: I just finished slugging my way through this abomination they've called a book. Claremont has brough all of his X Men angst and dreariness to a story that really has no use for such things. This, coupled with dialog I found... obtrusive and distracting at times made for reading which was much akin to walking through a knee high swamp. If you liked Willow, rent the movie.
