Summary: It was worth the wait
Review: and 10 years is a lot of wait to be worth. I read it through the first time in about 3 hours, then had a nice leisurely re-read (the book demands mulitiple initial readings). It had a good mix of action, romance and intrige. The climax of the book is intense enought to make you break out in a cold sweat. We got to see our old friends and made several new ones.

Now all I have to do is survive until 'I Dare' comes out.

Summary: INTENSE GRATIFICATION AFTER 10-YEAR WAIT
Review: Ten years is too long to wait for a Liaden-universe fix. All of the wonderful plot lines (Val Con and Miri, Shan and Priscilla, Anthora and Jeeves, Edgar and Sheather, even the Xtrang) were picked up where they were left off after the trilogy of ten years ago. I have read and re-read those three books until they are in decrepit condition (and can't wait for the compliation of the three to be published). I lost sleep because I made the foolish mistake of starting to read it as soon as I received it in the mail. Couldn't put it down. It had me laughing out loud and grinning like an idiot for hours. I plan to start re-reading it immediately, ordering anything else I can get my hands on that takes place in Liaden space, watching for the projected magazine articles, and addicting my friends and family to the series. Please, please, write more Liaden-universe books and stories. I'd settle for an even hundred.

Summary: I'm supposed to put this book -down-??
Review: Reading Plan B was a wild experience. Laughing one moment, crying the next; call it cliche if it you will. But this really is the affect this book had on me. I'd been waiting for it for quite some time, and to be honest I would not have been surprised had I been dissaspointed. Things so rarely live up to -that much- expectation. Plan B managed to top even my wildest imaginings as to how good it could be. I was unable to stop reading once I'd begun, and I intend to re-read it many times. It's fascinating, a rich world, interesting characters, and a captivating plot.

Summary: Hip Hip Horray! Outstanding! A must for anyone's library
Review: The long wait for the 4th installment in the Liaden Universe was worth every cent it costed. I read thru it twice in one sitting. All our friends from previous books are all in the newest installment. With quite a few plot turns that will shock a few diehard fans. After reading, it makes one wonder why it took someone to notice that Steve and Sharon were outstanding writers and deserved to be published.

Summary: Finally!!!!
Review: I've been waiting for this and it was worth the wait. I read everything as soon as it arrived and have reread random sections every day since. more please!!!

Summary: You won't be able to put it down
Review: Well, Plan B is finally in effect, and well worth the ten year wait. The action never stops, in fact it builds throughout the book to a roaring crescendo and it will have you on the edge of your seat. The elegance of the writing, the fierce passion and oh! the irony are exactly as you have come to expect from the exquisite team of Sharon Lee and Steve Miller.

Summary: An exciting entry in the Liaden Universe series.
Review: It has been ten years since the first three books in the Liaden Universe series were published. Now comes an exciting follow-up that continues the story of the characters we came to know and love. Val Con and Miri have escaped the low-tech world of Vandar where they were stranded and have gone to find her unknown kinfolks. No sooner do they arrive on the planet of Lytaxin, however, than they find themselves in the middle of a full-scale invasion by hostile forces. Meanwhile, Val Con's family are searching desperately for them, as are their original enemies from the Department of the Interior. With non-stop action and wonderful characters, this book should please old fans and create new ones for this continuing saga.

Summary: Laugh, cry, enjoy! Plan B is Now in Effect!
Review: I don't cry over books very often but Plan B had me laughing at loud in one chapter and crying in another. Sharon Lee and Steve Miller may not be the most famous writers around but they sure do know how to put together a story.

Before I go on I should mention that I do have a complaint about the book. Plan B is full of good writing but there's one serious typo in it and there's a typo on the back cover, like the publisher rushed to get it out. Also, the cover art doesn't quite look like the characters I recall from the other Liaden Universe books. There is a war in the book, so I guess the cover makes sense.

The good news is that the story grabs you early when it starts off with a knife fight on a spaceship. Don't start reading this book if you have somewhere else to go, because once you start you may be like me. I was stuck on the couch for hours because I couldn't put it down.

I don't want to give anything away, but if you know Val Con and Miri from Carpe Diem you'll know how easy it is for them to get into trouble. This time they go looking for a safe place and end up in the middle of a war. Not just any war but an Yxtrang invasion!

My sister gave me this book and expects me to loan it to her. Last time I loaned her a Liaden book it took me three years to get it back, so I came here to buy her a copy of her own. I want Plan B where I can read it anytime. I'll put it right next to my Lord of the Rings where I keep my special books like Carpe Diem and Agent of Change!

Summary: Plan B, Just as good as you hoped
Review: After waiting for Plan B for 10 years, I had my doubts as to whther it could live up to the previous three books. After a feverish few hours, I can report that it has! This book has unbelievable action, with complicated plot twists, characterizations, and writing that will leave your heart thumping. The humor is back from the previous books as well. I laughed out loud many times during the reading of this book. A 'must have' for anyone!

Summary: Good things *do* come to those who wait!
Review: At long last, Plan B is now in effect! This latest installment in the Liaden Universe was ten years the waiting, but its all too true, good things DO come to those who wait -- and Plan B is a VERY good thing!

Lee and Miller have brought back all our old friends: Val Con, Miri, Shan, Edger ... they're all here. And we are introduced to some new friends, as the story weaves together threads left dangling at the end of the first three books, Agent of Change, Conflict of Honors and Carpe Diem.

Speaking as a long time fan of the series -and the authors- I found Plan B to be a delightful revisit to a well-loved universe and all its denizens. This story is absolutely enthralling. I sat down with it as soon as it arrived in the mail, opening it up - and emerging eight hours later exhilarated, exhausted ... and starving! LOL! Once begun, I simply could not put it down until I had enjoyed every last word! I found only one thing wrong with Plan B ..... it was not enough. I want more!
