Summary: Three tales of Korval
Review: These are the first three stories that came out about the Tree and Dragon Clan, Korval. I haunted the bookstores in the 80's when they came out, waiting, and waiting for the next book. It took a while, but it was worth it! If you follow the stories about Val Con, Meri, Edger, Shan, Pricilla, and others, you will find yourself in another universe.
I fell in love with Shan and Pricilla at first reading, and then the others followed. verdict: WORTH THE MONEY. Buy two copies, you'll wear them out. Get a contract signed in Bood BEFORE you loan it out! I am serious. People want to keep them.

Summary: Looking forward to the next installments in this universe
Review: Did I like the books... yes. I read all the time, and am always on the lookout for certain authors. This pair is on that list.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Partners in Necessity was my first introduction to the Liaden universe and I was immediately hooked and totally captivated. It was the kind of book you race through breathlessly, wanting to know how it all comes out, but at the same time can't bear the thought that it will end. I immediately ordered all the other available books in the series and devoured them nonstop as soon as they arrived. The action was satisfying, the pace brisk, but the greatest strength was the characters. (Why, oh why, did Aelliana have to die so young? It was especially poignant to read her story in the "prequel," already knowing that she and Daav -- one of the most appealing fictional couples I have encountered -- would not live "happily ever after." Yes, I understand how her fate was inextricably bound into the development of the characters of the next generation, but it hurt!) I am waiting breathlessly for the publication of the next book in the series. Meanwhile, I've had the pleasure of rereading all the ones I have in the course of relating them to my husband, who doesn't have time to read fiction but enjoys a bit of serial storytelling in odd moments. The stories (and the characters) were just as good the second time around.

Summary: Addictive
Review: I am a first time reader of the Liaden universe. I love it. Delightfully constructed universe coupled with good writing style and interesting charecters. It was a bit slow in the first part, but picked up magnificently in part 2. Had to order the sequel "Plan B" urgently. At any rate I am hooked.

Summary: Highly recommended
Review: I've had these 3 stories in the original paperbacks for years and they are pretty worn from rereading them so many times. I've also bought every other Liaden Universe story from them that I could... and anxiously waited for more ;-)

These stories and novels are some of the best I've ever read, and I read a *lot*... ;-) The characters are so well drawn that you feel they're family by the end. The plots and pace keep you immersed until that final page... I can't recommend them highly enough. I don't have the words.

Summary: Buy this book
Review: If you have even a teeny tiny interest in sci-fi, this one is a keeper when you're weening your collections. The story line is great, the character development is great and the greatest thing is that the stories leave you panting for more. If I had the funds of a Bill Gates, I would turn these into movies that would be far ahead of Spielberg's best effort. Could blather on at great length, but read them and you will see. Get 'em before some dumb publisher decides to drop them from the active list..

Summary: More Please?
Review: Everyone talks about the hardback, well, I've still got the 3 paperbacks. Any time I need a excellent read, there they are. The action is well paced (verses fast paced which can be bad). The universe is easy to enter, the changes there but smoothly integrated; of course Edger exists and Val Con is his brother, and perhaps everyone is related to the YXtang. All in all, my only complaint is the end of book three, where the story careens off the edge of a cliff, and years later, I'm still falling. Can we get the rest of the story? Please? I want to know the fallout of Plan B. And I'm going to get that hardback! There is no such thing as redundancy were this series is concerned.

Summary: Now I'm hooked!
Review: I now consider myself a liaden universe fan! This was a gripping and sometimes heartwarming space opera.Lee and Miller's world-building is great as they gives us conflicts, romances and between terrans, liadens, and those wonderful alien turtles! I also love how they meld espionage, military sf, romance and some witty dialogue into a cohensive saga. When you start this book prepare to fall in love with it's characters and their adventures you will never forget!

Summary: Three unforgettable stories
Review: I fell in love with the Liaden books when they first appeared in the 1980s, and I am thrilled to see them back in print. A blend of adventure, politics and romance, it is the intricate world-building and fully realized characters that drew me into the universe that the authors have created.

From the very first page you'll meet characters that you care deeply about.... and find it impossible to put the books down.

These books are treasures not to be missed. Buy them. Read them (and then pick up a copy of Plan B). You'll be glad you did.

Summary: Good
Review: This has a lot of fans, and I did enjoy it. I had heard of it when all three novels were out of print, and was truly looking forward to it. These were good, but they weren't as good as I was led to believe ( a series of 5 stars reviews does create some expectations). Fun space opera. A word of warning - lots of unresolved plots left hanging. Solid 4 stars - sorry , did not live up to what I expect of 5 star books.
