Summary: really, really fun book
Review: After we got these books we couldn't put them down! This is a perfect book for any real Simpson's fan. It describes each episode in extreme detail - down to what Bart writes on the blackboard during each of the opening credits! The artwork is great - there is nothing lacking. I picked up the book this morning just to look one thing up, and the next thing I knew an hour had passed and I was still flipping through the pages!

Review: As the Simpsons head into their 14th season, there are more and more viewers brought into fandom. With the regular Sunday Night showings, and the ubiquitous syndicated re-runs, as well as the first two seasons on DVD, new fans join the gang. And for those of you who are new to the phenomenon, this is the way to get yourself up to date on what's come before. There have been three volumes of the Simpsons' episodes guide books published; The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family, The Simpsons Forever! A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family...Continued, and The Simpsons Beyond Forever. For those who have not bought the books in the past, here is a chance to get all three outstanding volumes in one neat boxed package, and at a price cheaper than buying the three volumes individually. Each episode is given expanded treatment, with a synopsis, quotes from the episode, "in-jokes" and movie references and information on the guest voices. A complete roster of the nearly 300 introductory chalkboards and couch gags are spelled out, as well as other repeating themes, such as the use of "D'oh!" and "Mmmmmm...." And finally, indexes allow you to go looking for certain characters, actors or other reference - perfect for settling those trivia contests or bar bets. If you love the Simpsons, these books are the perfect companion to what Time Magazine declared the Television Show of the Century.

Summary: The Owner's Manual to The Simpsons
Review: Between the three books in this set, seasons 1 to 12 are covered. Each episode has one or two pages formatted in a consistant fashion. You can find information about guest stars, music, cultural references, and the best lines of dialog for each episode. You'll also see which episode a character first appeared in.The information in this book is nothing you can't already find on the Internet. It is, however, arranged well, in a user-friendly design. You're not going to get many behind the scenes insights into The Simpsons, but you will have a handy, dandy reference that you'll want to consult before watching a rerun. Reading about the episode before watching it again allows you to see so much more that you might have missed the first fifty times you saw a paritcular episode. Essentially, this is the owner's manual to seasons 1 to 12 of The Simpsons. Keep an eye out for the next in the series covering seasons 13 and 14.

Summary: The Simpsons Forever!
Review: I have the first book that covers seasons 1-8 and it is an absolute must-have for Simpson fans not in front of the internet who want to remember specific shows and lines from the shows at their fingertips. It has brought hours and hours of joy to my friends and I. I think the guy from Belgium is just bitter and might want to consume some Duff.

Summary: Great books, bad condition
Review: I ordered my books from here and the hardcover came torn. I must warn you to be careful ordering books online, you never know what you're going to get. I orderd my books for $30. If I had orderd later I would of have to buy for $45. It seems amazon rose the prices. The price is the same as in the stores so I advise you to get it in stores because you never know what your going to get in the mail. Or you can wait till it's $30 again or buy from a seller. Now on to the books. This hardcover includes 3 books. The first one features seasons 1-8. The second one features seasons 9-10, the third one contains seasons 11-12. Each one contains things you might of missed facts and other stuff like production photos songs and more. I reccommend this for all simpsons fans.

Review: I'm not buying any more Simpsons Episode Guide books until the freakin show is cancelled....which at this rate seems like never! I suggest only buying the version that contains seasons 1- 8 (8 being when it started to peter out anyway...Coinciding with the death of the Great One, Phil Hartman)

Review: These guides are so thorough in covering each episode of the Simpsons, any fan will want to buy them all so he/she may as well get them all at once in this fun box set. These books list each episode in every season from the shorts aired on the Tracy Ullman show through season 12. For every episode there is a brief description, the date it originally aired, list of writers/guest voices, tons of quotes, interesting tidbits and things to look for, selected dialog, screen shots, and even the message on Bart's chalkboard in the introduction. In addition to the information on each episode, the books include short features on almost every character (even those that appeared briefly in one episode), Itchy and Scratchy shorts, a list of when Homer says "D'oh!" or "Mmmm...," a list of the "couch gags" during the theme song, you name it. These are the ultimate guides to the Simpsons that every fan will refer to regularly. They also include a handy index to help when one is trying to find that one special episode he/she craves. Even if you already have one of these books, this is an excellent set to own and it's a good idea to have a spare book because you will no doubt wear out at least one!

Summary: The Ultimate Guide for the Ultimate Simpsons Fan
Review: This Episode Guide has EVERYTHING that you can ever imagine in an episode guide. From Seasons 1-12, it has details on every single episode. Its got quotes, what Bart writes on the chalkboard in the intro, couch gags, special guest voices, writers, screenshots, episode number (i.e. 8F05), air date, scene selections, runtime, and a whole lot more. All of this for only about $30, what a bargain. Now I have seen every single Simpsons episode up-to-date but sometimes I forget about an episode or about a quote from a certain episode that I forget but now all I do is look over at my episode guide, track the season down and from there I find out what I needed. This book isn't just for looking for episodes and finding quotes or stuff like that, it can also be entertaining and a time killer (I mean that in a good way). So if you're stuck in the car going on a vacation, you can open this Episode Guide up and have yourself a laugh and maybe even find out some useful stuff that you didn't know about. This is a strong recommendation for any Simpsons fan.
