Summary: Great Artwork - interesting story
Review: First of all Saint Legend has beautiful artwork. I gave it 5 stars because 1. the artwork is amazing and 2. the story pulls you into the adventure and keeps you reading on. The Illustrator Andy Seto works out of Hong Kong and not Japan so theres lots of Chinese Culture in this. The artwork looks like Manga and Western comic styles combined. I love the artwork because it never looks too Manga looking. Andy Setos character designs resemble those from the King of Fighters videogame series. This is one graphic novel where the cover art does'nt lead you on. As for the story its great make sure to start out with the first book. The story is about these 8 immortal beings who fight demons and the like but its very cool. Most of the characters fight with swords but not like Dragon Ball Z or some gun crazy thing but the weapons are very cool futuristic looking..the story is based in this time frame so its no medieval or anything. The only thing I can find wrong with the first book (which is the only one that I've got so far) is that sometimes the action is hard to follow from panel to panel and can get confusing but its nothing serious they have included little arrows in the panels when it gets confusing to help you follow the action. Other than that this book is awsome im hooked and just ordered the other two books. Check this book out if you like action, sword fighting comics or manga like Ninja Scroll.

Summary: quite an interesting title
Review: if you're looking for something different in terms of your comics, look no further than Andy Seto's Saint Legend. A story of eight immortal warriors sworn to protect earth from evil in modern trappings, all the while fighting giant demons and monsters.
The artwork will simply melt off the page- it's that nice. Imagine a mix of traditional japanese manga style mixed with american coloring techniques, all wrapped up with lushly painted interior panels, you will like this.
Well detailed fight scenes, interesting character designs (with a twist on the traditional monkey king story),you really can't go wrong with this. Of all the Hong Kong comics currently available thanks to Comicsone, this one gets my highest reccomendation. You won't be dissapointed.
