Summary: 1 star for the trade and 4 for the story
Review: First of all this trade fell apart the minute i got it, the glue is wrong or something and it seems all the copies have that problem, the pages just keep falling out..there is no excuse for this, i have almost 200 trades and only this one has ever given me any trouble, and with no age to it, right off the bat.

the story is pretty good and is part of the whole Jerguns story arc starting here with issue 28 and going till issue 79, epic and amzing and covering many trades, though this one is mostly forshadowing the later parts and thus not essential, so skip it unless you have a lot of glue handy.

Summary: THOR! GOD OF THUNDER!!! YOU JUST DONT GET COOLER THAN THAT!!
Review: I'm guessing i'm not the exception here since the last reader noted it as a problem as well, but my TPB here is falling apart. So as far as the product itself is concerned I'd rank it 1 STAR; however so as not leave people misguided let me just add that the stories collected here are really great. Jurgens seems to be having fun with the characters, and the art work fits it perfectly. There are some truly great still images here of Thor, and he's rarely been tougher. Highly reccomended for the stories, but be warned, you're going need to some glue and skotch tape if you want to read it in one piece.

Summary: Fantastic Issues - if only the book didn't fall apart
Review: There is another book (X-Men Visionaries Joe Maduirea) I got that is basicly the same quality of paper as this one, and basicly I recieved one copy, and it was defective. As was the replacement order as well.
Marvel luckily uses better quality Glossy Stock paper nowadays - but really on this particular book, and the other book that is similar to this (which I recieved 4 defective books in a row), this book is just horrible paper quality and horrible glue quality. Pages fall out, and the cover comes off.

Summary: GREAT THOR TRADE PAPERBACK
Review: This trade collects issues #28 - 35 of Thor in a great tale by Dan Jurgens and Andy Kubert.

The Dark Elf known as Malekith hungers to conquer fabled Asgard -- and he'll unleash the freezing power of the Cask of Ancient Winters to do it! Meanwhile, sensing opportunity, Ulik the Troll leads his army against the Realm Eternal! But with Thor tending to matters on Earth -- and mighty Odin fast asleep -- it's up to Lady Sif and the alien Beta-Ray Bill to save the day! Jurgens does a great job and seems to be having an enormous amount of fun... and Kubert's art is amazing, capturing the majesty of Thor and his Asgardian brethren wonderfully.
