Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Perfect for Dirty Plotte fans anxious for more Julie
Review: Detail-obsessed, comic artist Julie Doucet shares the story of her eccentric landlady Madame Paul who goes missing in this quick-to-read, mysterious and gritty graphic novel that was originally serialized in Montreal's ici, a weekly paper. A nice conclusion to a beautiful career, Doucet claims, "Madame Paul is my last comic."

Fans of Dirty Plotte should note that, although much different from those comics, the Madame Paul Affair is a boisterous book, full of the same frantic energy and vibrant storytelling that makes each work by Doucet so gosh-darn-entertaining it's hard not to read it in one sitting.
