Summary: A Great Book For Curious Star Wars fans.
Review: I read "Shadows of the Empire" and COULD NOT put it down! Ilove learning about new characters, such as Prince Xizor(pronouncedSHEE-zor), and Dash Rendar. I love finding out about Black Sun. Except the end was REALLLYYY sad, I'm just warning you. Also, there is some romance, so I held the book away from me in the middle and said, "This book is nasty!" But it is still and extremely good book because everyone wants to know what happened in between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." I recommend this book to anyone as their next Star wars Book.

Summary: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I am 12 years old and I LOVE STAR WARS! This book is definetly two thumbs up! Steve Perry really did a good job writting this book. He made it very funny and some parts just cracked me up. I loved how he made some parts from a certain character's point of view - this allowed me to see the personality of that character at a different angle than that shown in the Trilogy. It was really amusing to see my favorite character, Darth Vader battle against another villian (Xizor) as evil as himself ... well maybe not quite as evil. I also liked another very important character that Steve Perry included - Dash Rendar. His sarcastic and arrogant attitude was a perfect substitute for Han Solo, who at that time was frozen in carbonite. Over all, all I can say is that I really loved this book and read it over and over - about twenty times, and that I hope Steve Perry will write another book about Star Wars in his unique writting style

Summary: GREAT
Review: This book was one of the best I have ever read. It had everything in it. I was on the edge of my seat all the way though the book. I had such a hard time putting it down. The caracthers were very beliveable. Say you have never heard of Star Wars. You have never heard of a man by the name of Luke Skywalker so you have no idea what he is like. This book made it so you can see how Luke and all of the other people are like. The plot was very well developed. The story kept changing from one scene to another. There would be two or three things happening at a time. At the end of each scene you can't wait to see what will happen at the next. I recommend this book to anyone who likes Star Wars, adventure and science ficton

Summary: GREAT STORY!
Review: Shadows of the Empire is a great story, indeed, and a movie would be awesome. I have Shadows for the Nintendo 64. It incorperates all of the elements of the SOTE story, but you get to play it. I reccomend buying the game to any major STAR WARS fans, but the system costs $149, and SOTE costs $70...but its really worth it, trust me. There are many other great games for the N64 too... like Mission:Impossible, Goldeneye 007, Cruisin USA, and more...LUCAS ARTS plans on making more N64 STAR WARS adventures in the near future

Summary: The Force is with this novel!
Review: "Shadows" was by far one of the best "Star Wars" books I have ever read. It gives great insight into the once mysterious period between the movies "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." Many questions are answered such as: Where did Luke get a new lightsaber, How Han Solo was "delivered" to Jabba on Tatooine, Where Leia found her Boussh disguise, and why Chewbacca's hair is a bit more stream-lined in "Jedi." But this book is not only an explanation of events, but also delivers an excellent story line with flowing plots, new villains, and explosive space battles. My favorite character would have to be Prince Xizor. Not to spoil the book, but he is basically out to kill Luke Skywalker to dishonor Darth Vader. Again, this is a great book, in my opinion, because of its vast array of new characters, its depth of interest, and its exciting space battles

Summary: The best STAR WARS book ever!
Review: This chapter between the second and third STAR WARS movies is just the way Lucas would have envisioned it. Perry's portrayal of the key characters is just the same as they were seen in the movies. His plotline was just great, and the characters and ships he created were original and unique. This has been one of the best STAR WARS books I have ever read, and I have read them all

Summary: Shadows of the Empire is AWESOME!!
Review: After waiting for what seemed an eternity to finally discover what happened between "Empire..." and "Return..." we are finally given this magnificent story!!! All of the pieces are finally put in place and the story is given the flow that was so tragically lost in the movies!! Thank you Mr. Perry for a job well done!

Summary: IT ROCKED!!!
Review: I think that this is one of the better star wars novels it intales all that is the star wars universe the plot seemed to be well thought out. I think it also captured the characters as George Lucas ment them to be perseved. I also enjoyed how steve perry found out as much as he could about star wars so he could add technical tid bits so I give shadows of the Empire an 9
