Summary: He's no George Lucas
Review: A shallow 2 dimensional star wars want to be. prince Xizor is certainly no match for Darth Vader. The book was a major disappiontment.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: 'Shadows' is one of the best out there!
Review: Where can I start? The book bridged the gap almost perfectly, showing new weaknesses and strong points in every character. The Empire was so close...and Xizor....that just made every fall into place nicely. If this every became a movie of some sort(which it probably won't)I'll be one of the firsts to see it. This is classic Star Wars.

Summary: Loved It!
Review: This book is my favorite Star Wars book ever written. Unlike Zahn, Stackpole, or the other writers in the Star Wars Universe, Perry wrote this book easy to understand. I also like it because it fills in that gap between Empire and Jedi. Dash and Xizor are also pretty cool characters. Oh, and the N64/PC game was okay.

Summary: awesome!
Review: This was the best Star Wars book i've ever read. It was actionful and believeable. Everyone should know what happens between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi! The new character Guri was totally marvelous. Perry should be proud of his work.

Summary: Excellent Indeed
Review: Just loved this book! I bet many more people than myself wanted to find out what happenned in the time between SW2 and SW3. i also liked the way how the author put in a little humor and how he could understand how the character's mind would work and he portrayed it perfectly. Perry did a good job of expressing a character's thoughts and attitudes. Does anyone agree? i'm only 11, so if you think that i'm being stupid, forgive me. 1

Summary: An analysis and personal opinion of Shadows of the Empire.
Review: Before I read this great book of the Star Wars phenomenon I would never have read a book with the title: "Star Wars" attached to it. I really thought that reading any new book of "Star Wars" would be a waste of my time, because they all dealt with clone stormtroopers and events that had no real significance to the "Star Wars" movies. This book though was different, mainly because it takes place between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" and because it reveals the answers to many questions that you may have asked when watching "Return of the Jedi". Also you get to learn more of the true character of Darth Vader and at the same time learn about Steve Perry's ganster, "Xizor" and the all time mercenary for hire, "Dash Rendar". All in all not a bad book.

Summary: Bad writer, good story
Review: I thought this book had a good story plot, and could have been very interesting. The main problem I had was Perry's writing style. He had the potential for a great story, and I liked Guri and Dash, but the writing style killed a lot of that interest. The plot was very good, it rivaled that of the movies and I thought it was a good bridge(except for the Xixor-Leia almost thing) to Return of the Jedi. But the way it was written just made it a little harder to get through than usual. Overall pretty good, though I think someone like Zahn should have written it instead.

Summary: A short story about how I read the book.
Review: I am a young reader (About 11) and am and excellent reader and a true star wars fan. Then my mother took the book out of the local public library. I thought of reading then I didn't. Later after the school year started I heard from a friend he read it. So I bought the book and read it. I loved it! I recommended to all my friends and pretty soon almost all my friends had read it and were Star Wars book readers for life.

Summary: This book rocked :)
Review: This book is a really cool book and I think if you are a big SW fan you should read it if you have not yet.:)Some of my thoughts about the book! Xizor was defeted to easy and Dash should not of ____ befor he heard the news that he did not miss the ship:) Well I think the book was a real good one;) I hope every one reads it :)

P.S. My nickname and muds and other games is Dash

Summary: What was he thinking?
Review: Was Steve Perry on something when he wrote this? I mean how could someone even think of killing as good a character as Dash Rendar? Maybe I should write a story and resurrect Dash. And what was he thinking getting Leia involved with this Xixor clown? We all knew Leia would eventually reject Xixor and relized her love for Han. Was the whole Xixor, Leia relationship meant to strengthen Leia and Han's relationship or what? The whole Xixor Leia ordeal was very weak and made Leia look weak too.
