Summary: Greatest book!
Review: Shadow's of the Empire is my absolute favorite! My favorite charactor (and always has been) is Darth Vader. I don't know why, but I've always liked the bad guys. And Luke, his son, of course. I can go on and on!

Summary: This book makes for some great reading!
Review: This book has a great story line - the only time you really get to see a villian matching wits with Darth Vader. The storyline moves along well and the characters are all true-to-form. Dash Rendar would have made a great addition to the Star Wars movies. And if you enjoy the endless bantering between R2 & C3PO, you'll love the dialog when they are forced into flying the Millenium Falcon by themselves. The book could have done without Prince Xizor's weird obsession with Princess Leia, but on the whole, it's well worth reading.

Summary: This one has it all
Review: Rare is the occasion that I would warrent any story worthy of 5 stars, but this one has got it! The only thing missing is Han Solo. (And Boba Fett's short-lived (ahem) appearance was something of a tease.) Xizor is much more calculating and compelling a villain than Thrawn could ever hope to be. Dash Rendar is what Han would be like if he hadn't stopped being a 'scoundrel'. Threepio and Artoo fly the Falcon! And you have a power play between Palpatine, Vader and Xizor. But best of all, you find out why so many of those damned Bothans died to get the Death Star II information!!!!!!!!! I've always loved to envision what events had taken place between the films. SotE fills the gap perfectly. If you readers are looking for an awesome Star Wars read, before you follow the hype and buy up all of the Tim Zahn books, I recommend checking out Shadows first. Definately worth it.

Summary: awsome
Review: Shadows of the Empire is a good book to read, it is between the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Pricess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, Dash Render and Rogue Squadern plan to rescue Han Solo from carbanite. No sooner than they get the plan in action, a great plot comes between Prince Xizor and Darth Vader over who gets Luke Skywalker. One wants Skywalker alive and one wants him dead.

Summary: OTHER THEN THE ORIGINAL THREE STAR WARS THIS IS THE BEST
Review: AFTER READING THE GREAT X-WING:ROGUE SQUADRON I HAD TO READ THIS BOOK. AND LET ME TELL YOU THIS IS SIMPLY THE BEST STAR WARS BOOK OTHER THEN THE ORIGINALS. I WASN'T DISSAPOINTED AT ALL BY READING THIS BOOK AS OTHERS HAD SAID. ROGUE SQUADRON GOT ME HOOKED ON STAR WARS BOOKS AND THIS ONE GOT ME EXCITED TO READ THE NEXT STAR WARS BOOK TO SEE IF IT IS AS GOOD AS THIS BUT SO FAR NONE HAS LIVED UP TO THE CHALLENGE. THE BACTA WAR, SOLO COMMAND AND MANDALORIAN ARMOR WERE THE CLOSEST ONES SO FAR. I LOVED THE NEW CHARACTER PRINCE XIZOR AND HIS DANGEROUSLY, DEADLY AND SEXY GURI. WHAT A WOMEN WELL I MEAN CYBORG. THE ONLY DISSAPOINTMENT WAS THAT STEVE PERRY DIDN'T WRITE ANOTHER STAR WARS BOOK. AND HE DID SUCH A GREAT JOB ON THIS ONE. ANYWAY THIS IS A DEFINITE MUST READ FOR STAR WARS FANS.

Summary: Good Book
Review: this is a good book that is great for star wars readers

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: solid book
Review: this book was a solid addition to the star wars books. If xizors scene's where a little more interesting this book would be given a five.I would love to see a movie of this book just to see 3P0 and R2 fly the milleniam falcon!. that scene was very funny. I thought render played a good part. He is like han alot but he is more arrogent. I epecially liked the part when he says to the droid '' listen my name is man with a blaster sbout to cook you''. That was very like han. Overall i solid book and worth reading.

Summary: Overall, a decent book
Review: Star Wars Shadows of the Empire is a fairly decent book with well thought out new characters: Xizor (which is pronounced Shezer) and Dash Rendar, the substitution for the missing scoundrel Han Solo. However, the characters together were lacking something. The video game is decent, but ruins the whole book, destroying the original plot. Luke Skywalker is the main character, and the book is like so many other Star Wars stories. However, it is very exciting and action-packed. It doesn't flow perfectly but overall, it's a pretty good book.

Summary: This book is a must read!
Review: From the beginning to the end, this book was filled with entertainment. You have to read it if you want to call yourself a true Star Wars fan. Steve Perry knows how to write, and de demonstrated his abilities quite well in this epic. Buy it now, or be left out later!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the most intense page-turners I have ever read.
Review: Shadows of the Empire was so amazing. It connected the characters well, and it made you feel that you were there, witnessing everything. I read it in about a day, and I wish to read it again. It was an amazing story that filled in the questions that we had at what happened between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi
