Summary: The start to a wonderful series!
Review: Onegai Teacher is one of my favorite manga. It is funny, sweet, and a little naughty all at once. (not naughty in the sense of Chobits, and only in one scene. Mizuho never actually does anything to Kei, she just talks about it.) The characters are lovable and (in some cases) totally human.

Parts of the book caught my interest a little more than others. Like when Mizuho and Kei are put into their...situation, and when Misuho's family comes to pay their respects. Other parts weren't as compelling, like the beginning of the book. But to each their own, and it is needed to set up the story.

If you liked Chobits or Oh My Goddess or Tenchi Muyo, then you will like this manga.

Summary: JUST AWFUL
Review: This is defintaly the worst manga i've read. It's just gawd-awful. I barly got through the 1st book cuz it's so, so awful. I dind't bother reading the 2nd book. i dind't care what would happen to the characters. The story is basically some kid wants a girlfriend and a alien appears. wow. *throws the book away*

Summary: Lost In Translation
Review: To be perfectly honest, I liked the novel, but the translation was, in short, atrocious. The excessive amount gramatical errors made some of the chapters difficult to read (and I'm only 17, and although I'm bright for my age, I should not be able to pick out gramatical errors from any published novel), so I do believe next time the novelization of an anime series as excellent as this is attempted, I would suggest the use of a proofreader. The verb tenses constantly shifted without any particular reason; countelss times I found sentences using present tense and past tense in the same line. Many of the words were jumbled together without spaces between them, making it more difficult to enjoy the novel itself, and the transition between different scenes was nonexistent. A scene where Kei would be talking to one of his classmates would suddenly change to he and Mizuho in bed together, without any warning or explanation. The indentations before setences were random and confusing to read, almost as if the author did not use a indenting guidline and just put a random amount of spaces before the beginning of a sentence. Overall, the novel needed much more tweaking and proofreading than it obviously recieved before being published, and I did at first blame this on the novel being translated directly from the Japanese version, but there is no excuse for the excessive errors. Despite that, the novel captured the general atmosphere of the series quite well and went much more into the psyche of Kei and his reationship with Mizuho. Hopefully, other novelizations in the future will not contain so many errors that it is diffuclt to read as this one.

Summary: Good manga if your a fan of the anime!
Review: Well I went a bought this mainly because the anime was so great and so is this book. But it is missing a few details. some of the sences from the anime arnt in the book that helped bring the anime up and more dramatic. But it starts off with a few good laughs. And its very dramtic. If you really liked the first one pick up the second one as well the story only gets better from where this one ends. This book is full of shocking twist and turns with lots of romance and comedy. So if you but this it will ot be a waste of money. But beware this book as some adult sence's that should not be viewd by kids under the age of 13.
