Summary: A Beautifully written masterpiece!
Review: You could not have picked a better match up of authors to write this book. It contains everything from a-z including violence, drama, comedy, and tragedies. The characters are some of the best written they also have one of the best relationships with each other. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Just As Good As The First!
Review: If you've read Left Behind you'll want to continue on; this novel is just as good as the first. A great read, an awesome series all the way though, and a real make-you-think about what the future might hold story. I love the characters in this novel: Chloe Steele, Rayford Steele, etc. are all such believable and lovable characters! Read all of the books - ignore the critics, they're just jealous they didn't write this journey...

Summary: Good story, but *definitely* anti-Catholic....
Review: ....At some points I was wondering if I was reading a novel or a Chick tract

THE GOOD: I liked the story itself. It isn't the greatest writing in the world, to be sure, but it is fun to read. Bottom line: it entertained me, which is the whole reason I was reading the book in the first place.

THE BAD: The anti-Catholicism.

This should not be so surprising, given that the authors are well known anti-Catholics. Yes, anti-Catholics (as distinct from people who merely disagree with Catholic teaching). In another book, "Are We Living in the End Times", they make such outrageous likes such as the Catholic Church killed *40 million* people during the Middle Ages (p. 175), worship Mary and the saints (p. 173) and, in essense, is simply a mixture of paganism and Christianity. (All of which is, oddly enough, not documented with any facts to support. I wondery why?). While the author's claim they are not anti-Catholic, it's kind of hard to take such claims seriously in light of the facts. (I guess they're charter members of "Liars for Jesus (TM)". Their motto: Because winning is more important than the truth!)

Thus, in Tribulation Force, the only "Catholics" raptured are those who *rejected* Catholic teaching. That's not surprising, though, since in the book it is implied that it is Catholic teaching that people earn their way to heaven by good works instead of relying on God's grace. (That' not true, of course, but as we have seen already, the authors apparently don't mind ignoring the commandment against bearing false witness. I guess they figure the ends justify the means, in direct contrast to the Apostle Paul; cf. Rm 3:8).

So, while this book may be a fun read, it also contains a good deal of anti-Catholicism, which should be kept in mind. (This is not to mention the faulty theology which underlies the series in the first place, less than 200 years old, and which is nicely refuted in Carl Olson's book: "Will Catholics Be Left Behind?)

Summary: Don't be Left Behind, Read Tribulation Force
Review: Read the mystery of those left behind. Find out why people are missing and where they have gone. Meet the characters, Buck, Rayford, Cloe, and Bruce. This is the team that meets God and is out trying to save the lost. Buck and Rayford both end up working for a man, Nicolea Carpathia, and find some disturbing news. Nicolea is the Anti Christ and has the power to control, to fool, and in the end, take over the world. Read the book and find out what the team does to help answer the questions many have and the questions no one else knows the answers to. This is a novel that you can't put down. I hate to read and I wasn't able to put it down. It is a book that is easy to understand, and easy to catch up with. Tribulation Force is exciting and it doesn't leave you hanging. I would highly advise this book!

Summary: Explore Newfound Conversions, Prepare to Battle Antichrist
Review: I read this book in a single day. It does keep you turning the pages. I am not a regular church-goer, and sometimes I found the characters expounding to each other about their newfound faith in a repitious manner. These parts dragged. (Not that the characters wouldn't continue to think aobut their conversions, but the writing about it was done in a very repetitious manner.) So if you are a person who is not DEFINITELY interested in religion and knowing more about the continued propehcies of Revelation, then you would probably not rate this book highly. I still enjoyed the book, and the plot was good. I like the characters. I will be continuing with the Series, but this book left me less excited to go on to the next than the first book did.

Summary: The Series Keeps on Rolling
Review: Tribulation Force is another success by LaHaye and Jenkins. They still seem to be setting up the series, so the book still lacks the intense edge-of-your-seat action that comes in the later books. If you loved Left Behind, you will without a doubt love this book as well. If you found Left Behing somewhat boring, this book is more exciting, but the adventure really starts taking off in Nicolae, so hold on!

Summary: Long, But Intriguing
Review: After reading the first novel in the Left Behind series, Left Behind, I was compelled to read the second novel because of becoming closer to God through the book. Though the plot was thick, I was bound to the book the entire time I was reading because of unexpected twists and turns and the death of an important member of the Tribulation Force at the end. It was excellently written and kept me wanting to read until the end. After the pregnancy of Hattie Durham, I knew that the rest of the books would be interesting to read especially with the upcoming wedding of the Anti-Christ and Hattie. I cannot wait to read the third book!

Summary: Good Story line - Poor literary work
Review: Good Story line - Poor literary work

This book is written at 5th grade vocabulary skill set. I have never been a speed reader but this book is written with such an elementary language that, I was browsing through pages. Most of the dialogue is very simple and redundant. The love story line between Buck and Chloe is very out of touch with reality (sex is taboo even in a dialogue). This is not to say that one would expect cheap love scenes from these authors but considering that this is a Christian book read by millions of readers, it would have been a good idea to approach the subject in a tasteful way for all the readers (why else do we turn to "other" sources?) The conversations between Buck and Chloe drove me nuts. For such an intelligent woman, she always manages to present herself less than smart. The book does not show any evidence of her intelligence.

I am not Christian but I still enjoyed the book and plan on reading at least #3. I have not given up yet.

Summary: Best Tribulation Drama Continues of those Left Behind
Review: Tribulation Force is book #2 of the continuing drama of those Left Behind. So far our story focuses on four heroes-Raymond Steele, Cameron "Buck" Williams, Minister Bruce Barnes and Chloe Steele. They all join together to form the Tribulation Force. Once they learn everything that happened-it all comes together and makes sense. But with the disappearance it ushers in a seven-year Tribulation period. In this time, the earth will experience the most catatrophic calamities in its history. Those left on the earth face war, famine, plagues and natural disasters so devastating that only one on four people will survive. The situation is even worse for enemies of the Antichrist and his new world order. So the task of the Tribluation force is very clear-their goal is to stand and fight the enemies of God during the seven chaotic years the planet can ever fathom.

(NOTE: Tribulation Force-Left Behind II is now on VHS & DVD. Also take a look at my other reviews written on the 'Left Behind series' to follow this exciting most talked about series-just click on my name above.)
