Summary: the kids are more than allright
Review: This is the first Blue Monday book, which is about the hijinks of 5 friends in the early 1990s in California. The overarching plot is Bleu Finnegan, our main character trying to get tickets to see her idol Adam Ant. However, much of the plot is also devoted to the various hilarious pranks that the group plays on each other. Chynna Clugston-Major does a really great job of combining sarcasm and gleeful violence with genuine feeling as well as making it often hilariously funny at the same time.
