Rating: Summary: Value wise - its a rip Review: Quality of the subject, art aside - do not buy this book. Why? Wait for it to appear in a collection. This book is the size of a garfield book. Two strips to a page. Less pages then before. Guess he is not making enough money off us. Wait for the collection if you can. If you cannot - its fun to read.
Rating: Summary: A FoxTrot Collection Review: Said: I thoght this book was very funny and a good night time reading book. It is a really book for all ages. There are good segments like: I Want to Be a Millionire, Nerds of The Rings, Grandma's Thanksgiving Visit, and more!
Rating: Summary: Bill Amend does it again! Review: The new FoxTrot collection, while in a new format, maintains the same great sense of humor that has kept the strip fresh and funny for over a decade. Roger, Andy, Peter, Paige, and Jason continue to cause havoc in their own inimitable fashion, which is what makes the strip--and this book--such a hoot. Highest possible recommendation!
Rating: Summary: Great comics, bad format Review: The newest Foxtrot book. Same, incredible comics. That's stayed the same. Catchy title. Perfectly normal. Excellent art. That's not unusual. Diffrent format.... I loved this book, but you have to realize, even though it's the same price, it's smaller! What is up with that?
Rating: Summary: Disappointment Review: The publisher has changed the format from 3 strips per page to a mere 2 and also deleted the "intro" gags that usually appear in the first panel or two of the Sunday strip (some papers omit these as well). So you are getting less for your money. I am not buying this book to send a message to the publisher that this practice is not acceptable. If you really want to relive Andy-Grinch, Andy's mom at Thanksgiving, and other antics, spend 20 minutes browsing in a bookstore.
Rating: Summary: Bobtrap Book!! Review: This is a laugh from begin to end, just buy it!!
Rating: Summary: Good, but not one of Fox Trot's best Review: This is a very funny book, including the sequences where Andy Fox is the Grinch and when Jason wakes up to discover he's a "mini-Paige". However, the format of this book is different than the others. There are only 2 weekly strips per page, and the book is shorter than Amend's others. I did enjoy this book and I would recommend it to others, but I doubt it will be one of my all-time Fox Trot favorites.
Rating: Summary: Foxtrot we know and love Review: This is a wonderful collection of foxtrot comics fans will love. It is as great and amusing as previous Foxtrot comics and is a must have for all fans and people who are just starting to read. The comics are engaging and tons of fun to read.
Rating: Summary: Fox Trot Review Review: This was a great comic strip book. I liked it, my family liked it, and I just thought it was worth what I payed for.
Rating: Summary: Small collection.... Review: While I continue to love Fox Trot, the smaller size of this collection is quite frankly annoying. I've collected Bill Amend's Fox Trot collections for years, the smaller ones without the color. I've loved them for years. Actually just got done re-reading all of them. And I love the strips in this one, although it is starting to seem a bit unrealistic that his characters haven't really aged or changed much since he first started.... but the new smaller collection format has got to go. It throws off my book shelf, plus I wanted more (yes, even though the characters haven't changed much, I still luv 'em). This book/collection is like a lite snack when you're really hungry. And Fox Trot's website is looking downright rundown (no update since the last big collection). Is this the beginning of the end? While I hope not, it certainly isn't encouraging....
