Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Good storytelling and innovative visuals make for one of the best graphic novels in years. The twists and turns in the story will have you wanting to read it again as soon as the last page ends. Highly recommended for readers of the graphic medium as well as the more traditional readers out there.
Rating: Summary: A Pulp Noir radio serial in a book ! Review: Pistolwhip has an excellent use of the serial format, and the fact that it is in the preferred format of original graphic novel makes this point even better. The twists and turns of the various characters (are they characters or are they actors ?) was delightfully constructed along the lines of a serial with an ensemble cast where the characters change but the cast remain the same. We find out how the femme became fatale, how the stooge was set up for a hit job, and just who is writing the script. And how he ran away from the circus. The production of the book, as a facsimile radio/ radio manual is superb. VERY enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: you want this book. Review: You really want this book. You want it because it is beautiful. You want it because it will confuse you and enchant you and draw you in and make you read it several times until you understand why every line is drawn as it is. It will please you.
