Summary: This is why we read four color books
Review: This book is a breezy and exciting read. To see Captain Marvel drawn by his creator is a pleasure. Every young person dreams of being heroic, and this book exemplifies why. Young Billy Batson transforms into his alter ego not only to foil the villians, but also to impress the ladies. Shazam is a hero that deserves a place beside the greats of our American mythology. Superman is our ideal, Batman is our pathos, Wonder Woman is our pride, but Captain Marvel is our innocence.

Summary: WONDERFUL PART OF COMIC HISTORY
Review: This great book puts together the early WHIZ COMICS (UP TO #15) stories of the great Captain Marvel and is a MUST HAVE for any and all Marvel Family fans. This book shows the way it was and ,should be. The 1990's title has nothing on the form in this original collection of stories. This is totally worth the time to read cover- to-cover,and save for ANY Marvel Family collection. There WILL be a VOL.2,but until then pick this one up-----A WONDERFUL BOOK.

Summary: An American Icon
Review: This is Golden Age comics at it's very best. Anyone with an appreciation for comic or American history would enjoy this.

The art is simplistic yet effective. In fact, I love it.

Get this and see why Captain Marvel outsold Superman back in the 1940's.

This is one of the best DC ARCHIVES.

GET IT!!!!!
