Summary: Art is pathetically out of date.
Review: Do my eyes decieve me or did Rumiko live in the time of Osamu Tezuka? Her art is too simple and old. I hope her next manga is a little more advanced in the art section. Imagine Clamp and Rumiko sitting side by side looking at each others work. One draws like a kid and one draws some of the most magnificent art ever. Takashi is so overrated.

Review: In response to the child below me -- there are many different ways of drawing, and beautiful, over-intricate artwork does not make up for a good storyline and excellent characters -- which Rumiko Takahashi never fails to give. Clamp, since you chose the reference to them, can draw beautifully, but their storylines often crumble or lag -- something I haven't found in Takahashi's work. Obviously, this is someone who does not even bother to read the stories, but rather simply flips through to look at the pictures, otherwise one would realize what a positively ingenious (though corny-sounding at first) story that Miss Takahashi is capable of.

Review: La! It was quite hard waiting for this book to come out, but now it is and all is well and good. ...Except the ending is a real cliffhanger and now I desparately need #20...what happened in this manga, you ask? Ranma's pa begins to feel inferior to his son, which leads to a heated battle. Then Akane makes Cherry Blossom Mochi that will tell her who her true love is. Last but not least, a martial arts cheerleader falls madly in love with KUNO, of all people. But my words don't do this story justice, so you'll just have to read it for yourself. You won't be disappointed (unless you're an anti-ranma or anti-rumiko type). happy reading! ^_^

Summary: Continuously Fun!
Review: Many serial novels, especially comic books, eventually become
boring and predictable. A great exception is the Ranma 1/2
manga. This series is continually unexpected and fresh.

Review: Rumiko Takahashi is brilliant. there is just no other way to say it. sure, she has her weaker stories and her stronger ones, but ill read them all. i completely recommend her work, if your even only slightly interested in manga or a good read. i just gave out my collection of Masion Ikkoku so as to spread her works! buy this book and all her books! her stories are wonderful, her art fantastic, and im never disappointed. more stars!

Review: The latest volume of Ranma 1/2 collects the English translations of the Manga comic book issues of Ranma 1/2 Part Ten #1 through Ranma 1/2 Part Ten #6 (first half) in their entirety, is as wacky and hilarious as ever. Rumiko Takahashi's crisp, clean artwork brings her martial-arts/teen angst/shape-changing comedy to vivid life. Three main stories bedevil the familiar cast of Ranma, Akane, and others in this collection: a serious father-son rivalry, a magical food that puts marks on the face of one's destined beloved, and a martial-arts cheerleading competition with an extra bite (imagine facing off against a cheerleader with the energy of Kylie Minogue and the moral integrity of Tonya Harding)! A light, pleasurable, and extremely fun read -- and a "must" for the legions of Ranma fans everywhere.

Review: This was in fact my first Ranma 1/2 book, read it last night and laughed my cast off! Had just read a book about Baudrillard, and so was coming from a very strange place, and yet this Vol. 19 was incredibly enjoyable. Totally irreverent, stupid, and very very funny. I look forward to reading the rest of this series, it's a simulation I'm happy to be a part of. Martial Arts Cheerleading, O-KAY! You must read this for yourself, if nothing else it's hilarious. I am surprised I had not heard more about this series before, perhaps thats because of all of the sexchanging. p.s.: I think the art work in this is superb, and perfect for the story, so forget the reviewer below who is obviously jealous, sheesh, insulting an artist in a forum where they can't fight back
