-It's good to see our heroes hit the lowest level and beaten to the ground in a mutant hostile territory and somehow come out on top in the end.Bad:
-The New Mutants and X-Factor artists
-If Cable didn't spell the end for the New Mutants as we knew them, then this crossover surely destroyed them.
-This fast paced type of crossover would become the model for all other crappy crossovers in the future. Mutant Massacre was classic. Inferno complicated, but I liked it. I enjoyed X-tinction Agenda, but Marvel got out of hand with the crossovers after this.

Summary: One Of The Worst X-Stories Ever Written
Review: I didn't come into this story expecting it to be great, but it was a whole lot worse than I thought. With the exception of the issues featuring Jim Lee, the art is horrible. The coloring is atrocious, some of the worst I have ever seen in a comic book story. Even though some of the writers are quite good, here they all collectively sucked, even Chris Claremont. Claremont's dialogue has never been his strong suit, but here it's just rediculous. The scripting by the rest of the crew is even worse. The only thing I could think about while reading this was how much money I wasted on it. Even the title is stupid. Avoid "X-Tinction Agenda" at all costs. If your looking for a good X-men crossover, pick up "Bloodties", which is kinda/sorta the same story as this, but much better. Hell, pick up anything as long as it's not this.

Review: I have been an Xmen fan for years... in my opinion, the XTinction agenda is the best written crossover story ever. Credit should go to Jim Lee, the best writer, artist of XMen's history. The story line is consistent and characters were properly written.

Review: I used to be a huge X-Men/Chris Clairmont/Jim Lee fan and bought this because it came out right after I had stopped collecting. I was very disapointed. The story is weak, and the art is even weaker, except for the Jim Lee issues. The whole thing seems rushed and thrown together, with a very contrived plot, as if they needed a cross over story arc to sell more New Mutants and X-Factor books. Not recommended

Review: If you know nothing of the X-men, buy this book and read it. If you know everything about the X-men, buy this book and read it! This is one of the quinessential storylines of the X-men, featuring: Their first commando mission against Genosha, the return of Cameron Hodge, the mystrtious whereabouts of Havok, the re-introduction of the original Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), the heated battle between Archeangel and Woverine, and the death of one of Marvel's most popular characters! Nine books long (3 X-men, 3 New Mutants, 3 X-factor) it is presented in full color and the X-men books are all pencilled my Jim Lee, the greastest X-men artist of all time! Cartoon and movie fans may be little thrown off by the absence of Professor X, but cameo's include Mr. Fantastic, The Punisher, and She-Hulk! You'll feel for Storm and Wolvesbane as they are changed forvever and you'll enjoy the lighthearted Jubilee as she babysits a powerless Boob-boom and Rictor. Although the original print included Cable in Lee's cover art, this new reprint has replaced him with Cyclops but it's the best X-men TBP still availble!

Summary: X-Tinction Agenda: A Must Read!!!
Review: One of the best X-Men storylines ever! It centers around the 3 x-teams (X-Men, X-Factor, and the New Mutants) being captured by the state of Genosha, a neo-nazi place. Cameron Hodge, a cyborg enemy wants to execute them for high treason against Genosha, but secretly hopes to wipe out ALL mutants off this planet. Lots of events happen, such as internal bickering between the teams, a kiss between Jean Grey and Wolverine, Cyclops v.s. Havok (his brainashed brother) and tons of action. Also, it was really emotional as Warlock is killed by Hodge, and Wolfsbane and Storm are transformed into mindless Genoshan slaves, called Mutates. This is one awesome storyline, and you just HAVE to read it!!! It contains 9 issues:
Uncanny X-Men #270- Storm, Boom Boom, Rictor, Wolfsbane, and Warlock are captured. New Mutants #95- Powerless, the captured mutants escape, while Warlock dies and Wolfsbane is captured again. X-Factor #60- The rest of the x-teams go to Genosha, where Cyclops fights his brother Havok. Uncanny X-Men #271- Wolverine, Psylocke, and Jubilee arrive at the scene and help save Boom and Rictor. Wolverine and Psylocke attack the citadel, only to be captured, while Storm is turned into a mutate. New Mutants #96- Half of the remaining X-Men attack, but are rendered powerless and get captured. Meanwhile, Wolfsbane gets transformed into a mutate. X-Factor #61- The remaining X-Men (except for Boom Boom, Ric, and Jubilee) attack, but end up powerless and captured. Uncanny X-Men #272- The captured X-Men are put on trial and found guilty. Hodge then begins to torment them, but realizes there are traitors among Genosha. Storm is releases of the mutate bond, and restores Cyclops' power, who then attacks Hodge. New Mutants #97- The free kids continue to delve deeper into Hodges' laboratory, and meet up with some of the X-teams (who got their powers back), but are attacked by Hodge. X-Factor #63- The conclusion, where all the mutants attack Hodge, and finally, he dies.

Review: right lets make this very clear there are only 3 good issues out of the nine here...the actual x men issues with art by jim lee and scott williams are essential...claremonts words and lees pencils have always been a good combo...the fight scenes are dramatic and exciting and everythings...well...everythings just right
however
the other 6 coming from new mutants and x factor are crap...the arts rubbish and especially by the last 2 chapters you just want it to end...seriously it just drags on...they lose their powers get em back...still they get beat down. dont know about you but i dont particularly enjoy watching the x men lose fight after fight after fight (which they seemed to do a lot of in the late 80s early 90s) unfortuantely its quite an essential story as it brings all the x men back together after a few years apart
buy it for jim lee and try to stomach the other stories
