Summary: 5 stars arent enough... ^_^
Review: This is the second volume of one of the best works of modern literature I've ever seen. Definitely a must-own for those who cherish the triumph of the human spirit over all obstacles. In the one word "moral" of a later work (Mononoke Hime - Princess Mononoke)by the same author..

IKIRO

Summary: Best story I've ever read.
Review: I have loaned my copies to anyone willing to look at them. They've all said it was amazing. Don't take our word for it though. Read it. See Hayao Miyazaki's other stuff: Kiki's Delivery Service; Princess Mononoke; Warriors of the Wind.

Summary: A great adventure/fantasy
Review: influenced by a Japanese story 'The Princess Who Liked to Watch Insects'. Hayao Miyazaki has created a story to rival Star Wars for the sci-fi genre.

Summary: What can I say but: Damn!
Review: Truly the best story I've ever read. If you've already read the books up to this point you know what I mean. If you haven't, then pick up Volume 1, you won't be sorry. See also these movies: Warriors of the Wind. (Nausicaa movie) Kiki's Delivery Service. Princess Mononoke. Disney bought the rights to all 3 movies, only Kiki can be bought at this time, but the others might be rentable.

Summary: The best story I have ever read
Review: The story of a girl with a gift. Set in a bleak future where a toxic jungle is slowly engulfing whole countries, Nausicaa tries to prevent her kingdom from being destroyed in the war ensuing between the largest remaining empires. I cannot say enough to praise Hayao Miyazaki. I first saw his work in the animated film "Warriors of the Wind" back in the 80's. It turns out this is a badly edited version from Topcraft who bought the rights. I was still hooked, though. After searching for quite a while I found the comics. Hayao had continued the story of Nausicaa well beyond the scope of the movie. I found in enthralling. I still read it every so often and suggest it to anyone who loves epic stories of fantasy and adventure. Disney recently bought the rights to the movie, and apparently plans to re-release it sometime in the future. See also: Kiki's Delivery Service, and Princess Mononoke.

Summary: hail to Nausicaa!
Review: in the words of Toshiyuki Aoshima of OMG, "HOW CAN I EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE SUCH FLAVOUR!??!" actually, it should be "this story" instead of "such flavour," but no matter! Naussica is a magnificent fusion between dune and the lord of the rings!! what separates these three books from other great fantasy and makes them "magnificent" is the inclusion of religion! Star Wars had the force, but that's only second best! if you like manga, or even better: love manga, then please for the love of heaven, READ THIS BOOK!

Summary: The stunning climax of one of the greatest stories
Review: After the first three volumes of Nausicaa's journey, it's hard to imagine any room for improvement... and yet the fourth volume goes further and deeper, revealing secrets that will cause Nausicaa to question her beliefs and motives. My only regret is that the story ends, and I want to see more of this remarkable world and these fascinating characters.

Summary: One word can only do justice to this work: Amazing
Review: Almost ten years ago I saw the film "Warriors of Wind" and, in my then young mind, found it to be an amazing story that soon became dear to my heart. Now, I have found, by almost complete accident, the graphic novel the movie was based on, and after reading this, discovered that the movie does no justice to the manga. An excellent combination of action, drama, science-fiction, and philosophy, the series is captivating and goes beyond all imaginaion. In my opinion, this is the best manga work I have ever read, as both entertainment and a learning experience. A must-have for any interested in manga.

Summary: Page size is too small
Review: The story is wonderful, but the small size of this book does not do justice to the extremely detailed artwork, which was originally published with A4-sized pages. Anybody who has seen the artwork in its original size will find this series disappointing. There are plenty of large-sized graphic novels---I wonder why Viz decided to reduce the page size of Nausicaa?

Summary: I loved this book!
Review: It's a fantastic, beautiful story - so far. I can't wait to read the next volumes.
