Summary: Hoo Boy This is great
Review: This is one of my comic collection's best, along with chasing dogma. This is a very very funny comic book, with the same humor as the movie. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the funeral comic didn't make much sense in context of the movie. Why would Dante get so mad at randal if it was somewhat his fault too? The first comic in this though was well worth the price.

Summary: Quite Possibly Too Funny For Some
Review: This is so funny you may laugh yourself unconscious. You may want to check with your doctor first. Composed of several episodes from the Clerks comic book series, Kevin Smith authors some of the most laugh outloud comic adventures I've ever read. Reprising the characters from the Clerks movie and guest appearances from Smith favorites Jay & Silent Bob, Clerks: The Comic Books is a highly recommended good time.

Summary: Sleek character designs/Cheap shots
Review: What attracted me to this book was the cool "Daria"-like charcter designs that are oh-so-frequent in contemporary animation and comix. Unfortunately, the flat style is appropriate to the characters that are just as two-dimensional. The storylines are pale scaffolds to support juvenile sex gags, weak one-liners, and way too many obscure references to not-so-pop culture. I decided to check out the movie that triggered this cash-cow that Kevin Smith will never stop riding and had to pause it midway, leave my house to watch some interstate traffic in the hopes of gaining some substance out of my afternoon, and finished it.

Summary: I love Kevin Smith but...
Review: You know how it is when you just love a writer and then he puts out something just short of crap? You try to like it. You really do... The comics were full of cheep name dropping and awful story lines. I am still a loyal Kevin Smith fan, but this was very dissapointing.
