Summary: I have to agree with the last point...
Review: Don't dog Scott Adams, this is obviously a re-release of previous work, but I hardly consider it to be him selling out. If you already have the other books that these cartoons are in, then don't buy this one. The idea behind this book is to help people find cartoons relating to the specific topics they are looking for so that they can use them to prove their point, rather than having to dig through books to find the right comic for the situation.

Summary: great reference book - a must for everyone's desk
Review: Great source for all the best Dilbert cartoons. Very useful when you need to find the right cartoon to make fun of some specific office situation.

Summary: To the whiners:
Review: I just read all the "reviews" people left for this book. God, what a bunch of whiners. Yes, it's just a collection of old comics. You know that. So why buy it, and cry about it?? MAybe someone hasn't read all the Dilbert comics since it began, and all they need is just a collection of "bests." If you want fresh Dilbert comics, don't buy this book, buy one of the latest collections, like "Don't Step in the Leadership" or "Journey to Cubeville."

Review: I laughed, I cried, I soiled myself.

Summary: Dilbert Really give business
Review: I read this book. Oh my godness I laughed pretty good. After about 4 times you read it it may loose a few of it's humor. But then it's still a 4 star. Great book. Catbert rules!

Summary: Great compilation for the casual fan
Review: I'm not a Dilbert fanatic, but I sure have been getting a kick out of the strip lately and decided to break down and buy my first hardbound Scott Adams. Many of these made me laugh out loud. It's a good book to have around when you need a laugh about work. The way the book is broken down into categories. Great layout. The hardbound edition has the graphics printed on the cover itself, in addition to the dust jacket. (How many hardbounds do this??? Must be more expensive). When the dust jacket gets crummy, the book will still look great. Highly recommended to those still in the 'rat race'.

Summary: Don't Point That At Me
Review: Normally, most comic strip books are compilations of the strips for a specific period of time. And Dilbert certainly has several of those. But this time around, Scott Adams has created a decade long compilation.

Instead of presenting the strips in chronological order, which is normally the way it's done, Scott Adams has broken this book into 39 categories contained in two sections. Some of the categories include "Bosses," "Safety," "Lawyers," and "Marketing" to just name a few. And each category contains daily and/or Sunday strips from 1990 - 1999 that pertain to the category.

In addition to the way the book is broken down, it is interesting to see the strip from different years. It wasn't until about 1995 that the characters in the strip evolved into what we see today. Before that, Dilbert had a much longer face, Alice did not have the poofy hair, and the pointy-haired boss wasn't quite so pointy-haired.

Summary: Reorganiztion of old material
Review: Nothing new in this book. Sorry I bought this. Not recommended at all

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great for a quick reference
Review: The nice thing about "Dilbert Gives You The Business" is that the comics are broken down into different topics: Bosses, ISO 9000, Secretaries, Human Resources, etc. I find it useful when I'm in a conversation with a friend and say, "You know, I once read a Dilbert cartoon that relates to this." I simply look up the appropriate category in DGYTB and look for it. I only wish the book were longer and more comprehensive. But as Dilbert compilations go, this one definitely gets five stars.
