Rating: Summary: Strange, usualy nov. 5 comes in NOVEMBER!! Review: According to amazon.com and all the book stores this book was suposed to come out on November fifth... well, it didn't!! Anyway, of course this book was awesome. (duh) It had all the normal fushigi yugi humor and romance, but instead of the usual touch of drama, some parts of this book made you want to cry. I mean some parts were just downright depressing! But anyway, this was definatly the best FY so far. I waited a million ba-jillion mounths for this book to come out, and now I get to wait for the eigth one. OH JOY!! (grr...)
Rating: Summary: Wow. Review: I was lucky enough to pick up this book just as they were sticking it on the shelf at a local book store. I hero worship Ms.Watase for moments like this. "Castaway" is probably one of the more heart renching mangas of the Fushigi Yuugi series, showing the depth and history of a few characters, including the favorites Chichiri and Nuriko. What I can't stand is how you get so emtionally attched to Nuriko, and then what happens to him. (sry people who don't know this, gotta wait for eight ^^0 Oro, atleast I think it's eight.--0) Tra lala. Moving onto the villians, Soi was introduced, and Soi is cool, with the exception to the people who have a fetish about her **cough cough** other power. Near the beginning when you see Suboshi crying about his brother, it kinda made me realize that these characters had such depth and complexty to them, something not present in all mangas. You could tell even Nakago was feeling a little something, though half the time he's an emtionless git. Had it been just the fact that they couldn't have summoned Seriyuu, he probably woulda taken it more heartlessly than he normally does. Anywho, sorry if I'm not making a whole lot of sense. Bottom line is this rocked. Just the right humor dried your eyes long enough before you started crying again. ^^ (usually being Tasuki and Nuriko with dash of Tamahome as the comic releif) Just don't listen to people ramble about it, cause you just can't go in depth enough to do this justice. Another score to Ms. Watase.
Rating: Summary: the long awaited fy #7 Review: i'm so glad this book finally came out, as i've been waiting since september... but it's a very good book continuing the fy story, it has its funny parts, as usual, and also VERY serious parts, but will over all keep you on your toes..... and make you wanna read the next book. (even though we'll have to wait a long time for the 8th one...)
Rating: Summary: Fushigi Yugi totally rocks! Review: I've read all the manga by Ms. Watase through Vol. 7. I've seen the second half of the anime on video (I had to make a choice between the first 8 tapes or the 2nd 8 tapes, I opted for the second, I've been in total suspense about the outcome!) But I still enjoy the manga because it's a talented writer/artist who's doing it. So, if you're not sure if you should by this one or any of them...don't hestitate any longer BUY BUY BUY!! :-)
Rating: Summary: The best one yet... Review: The 7th book is finally out and it is great!!! I had to hit myself from laughing out loud histerically when I read it... This book has to be one of the best yet. I really love the fact that all of the 7 constellations for both sides have finally been revealed. Like the others this one really tests Miaka and Tamahome... because they aren't even aloud to touch one another. I dont want to ruine the book for you, but tamahome did get a gift from the oracle... he can turn into super tamahome, this happens when he goes home to see that Suboshi has killed his entire family, blinded by rage he starts to kill the poor guy... Then a new charecter arrives, called Soi... who saves him from death... Something happens between Miaka and Tamahome there but I'm not going to tell you. P.s this is so funny, because for most of the book they're on a boat... this is where we find out that Tasuki is totally scared of water... You have to see that, it was so FUNNY!!!!

Rating: Summary: very good, although you might need tissues Review: The ceremony to summon Suzaku has been ruined, but Miaka and the Celestial Warriors of Suzaku have been given a new way to summon the god. Before they go, Miaka and Tamahome have to deal with some devestating news that will keep them from being with one another. Also, Suboshi wants revenge for his twin borther Amiboshi's death, and Tamahome is the one to suffer. I won't say what happens, but I cried at this part. Although there is a "the story thus far" section, as well as a section that says a little (a very little) about many of the characters, this book won't have nearly as much emotional impact if you haven't read the previous books. I love the author/artist's style of art, and I have really enjoyed what I've read of the series so far. It can be painful to read, because, when people die in this series, they stay dead, but it's definitely worth reading. I also, in some ways, prefer reading the manga to watching the anime. Unlike the manga, I own all of the anime for this series, but, at least with the manga, I don't have to listen to Miaka's whiny voice. Miaka is as whiny as I want her to be when I'm reading, lol. This series is definitely a must-read.

Rating: Summary: The best one yet... Review: This is the best Fushigi Yuugi book ever! Although, it wasn't one of the funnier ones. It was more serious, but I enjoy it time after time as I read it over and over again. Please buy this book! It's definetly and important chapter in the world of the Univerce of the Four Gods!
Rating: Summary: ...WOW... Review: This was a great read, albeit it took far too long to be released... Even though I've already seen the anime, the manga didn't fail to please me. This is one of the most heart-wrenching acts in the Mysterious Play, and the plot seems to really pivot to the serious, the dark, and the terrible after this. But all of it in a very good way that only makes the reader want more. You might need to grab a box of tissues when you read this one!
