Marmalade Boy (Book 3)

Summary: Surprise, surprise
Review: For a while, I had no intention of reading or seeing 'Marmalade Boy' - you know, teen romance drama, gaaaah. Curiousity eventually got the better of me... and I was sucked in. The story with Miki and Yuu's parents was entirely too messed-up *not* to be interesting, and it keeps going from there. Yes, it is a teen romantic thing, but the characters are all so likeable and distinct! And it's funny. So... definitely worth reading, in my book (pun not intended).

Summary: The best manga yet
Review: I just started reading Marmalade Boy awhile back and get hooked right away. Once I read the first i just had to get the second and third. It all starts when Miki's parents decide to get divorced and get married to a different couple who happen to have a son Miki's age whose name is Yuu. Miki's and Yuu's parents decide to live together in a big house. In the beginning Miki and Yuu seem to dislike each other and can't get along. After awhile Miki seems to take to him, but then Yuu's old girlfriend,Arimi, comes along and Miki's old crush,Ginta, tell Miki he loves her. Now Miki is stuck in love triangle and can't make her mind who she likes more. Arimi and Ginta decide to put on a act that their going out to help Miki decide. Later in the third book Ginta tells Miki to hurry and decide and if she choose him, he'll dump Arimi, but if not he'll continue dating Arimi. After thinking things over, Miki tells Ginta she likes Yuu more and that Ginta should continue going out with Arimi. Ginta's crushed and tells her everything about the act. She still hasn't changed her mind. Arimi apologizes later to Miki for the act, but yells at her about Yuu and runs off. She runs into him and tells him she still loves him, but Yuu doesn't feel the same way. As if things couldn't get more complicated Miki's best friend, Meiko, is caught having and affair with her teacher and gets suspended from school. And who is the mysterious new character Miwa? I totally recomend this book, but you should read the first and second manga before this on

Review: Marmalade Boy is one of the best mangas out there. It starts when Miki Koshikawa and Yuu Matsura's parents split up and marry the other parent. Crazy already? It gets crazier. Miki and Yuu start to like eachother, too, causing problems with Miki's former boyfriend, Ginta (who still secretly likes Miki).
Miki is then forced to choose between Ginta and Yuu, but she loves them both so. Later in the series there are also problems with Meiko and the teacher, Nachan.
If you're a fan of shoujo manga, and/or Cardcaptor Sakura (CCS), then this is the book for you. I wish I could rate it higher!!
