Review: This has to be one of the greatest things I have ever read. Instead of using violence, action, or anything usually found in comics and graphic novels of this sort, this book simply uses an excellent story and artwork, and meshes together references from all over the place, to make a superb story. Tim's adventures go from the beginning of time, to the end, and once you turn the last page, it might take you awhile before you are able to stand. This book makes you think...

Review: This is a fantastic story! I've been reading all of DC's comics since the mid 1960s, and this story brings back so many of DC's horror and mystery characters that every time I turned the page I found myself pleasantly surprised by another old friend. Those readers who are only familiar with the spandex crowd of heroes will not be able to enjoy the full flavor of this story, but the story builds to an outstanding conclusion that puts this story in the same league as the Swamp Thing "Gothic" series about the building battle between Heaven and Hell. By all means, buy it!!!

Summary: Great story, marred only by odd references
Review: This is another one of Gaiman's wonderful story lines. Imaginative, brilliant graphics, and a plot that is far greater than anything Ive seen in a while. The only problem is the DC Universe references that I dont get since I dont normally read many comics.

Summary: The Greatest Mini-Series
Review: This paperback is one of the most imaginable collection of comics in comic book history. The creator of "The Sandman," Neil Gaiman has proved himself again outside his great series. Even greater, he can handle the magical world of the greatest magician in the world Tim Hunter. Just a teenager Tim contain powers of unbelievable status and hold the faith of earth and human race if he can manage not spoil himself. If your not a comic book at least buy this book, if your not a comic book fan I believe you already have it.

Summary: A decade before Harry Potter
Review: This particular series originally came out in late 1990 andearly 1991. As for thestory itself, its one of the most wonderful and beautiful I've read. One caveat is that a lot of DC Universe and some Sandman characters are used in the story, and without knowledge of them, you lose part of the story.

Summary: Rock on, Trenchcoat Brigade!
Review: With Books Of Magic, Neil Gaiman pulls together various loose threads in the DC universe, and creates a consistent realm of magic through the familiar theme of a young boy exploring a strange world. The plot isn't the freshest thing Gaiman's ever written - it's the way he writes it that makes the story spectacular. Gaiman intertwines stories of ancient sorcerers, modern-day magicians whose sleight-of-hand is only a convenient front, and the evolution of humans - and magic - in the future. Various DC characters make appearances, notably Gaiman's Dream, Destiny, and Death of the Endless. The choice of artists for each chapter is perfect, so we have a John Bolton Merlin and a wonderful Charles Vess Fairyland. The book gives us glimpses of many characters and stories that could use further development, but it stands alone as a powerful parable of the roles of faith, power, and, of course, magic, in our lives.
