Summary: AWESOME ART, very original, hilarious themes
Review: ... Tank Girl rules!!! I can imagine that some people would not be into it, but nonetheless, the drawings are so awesome, the layout of the comic itself is totally original, and the stories are beyond insane. Maybe it's not a good comic for the very straight-forward narrow minded individual... But if you enjoy Bloody senseless death to random people, hot chicks(with huge guns), bizarre sex jokes, and well, possibly drugs, you will love the Tank Girl series. I recommend books 1-3, after that, Alan Martin is no longer the writer, and I feel that him and Jamie Hewlett (The artist) are a great combo. Tank Girl rules, I got the first book, now I am obsessed and I own them all. Long live Tank Girl! (But not long live the movie!)

Summary: Tomb Raider has NOTHING on Tank Girl
Review: Anybody who tells you a girl can't drive a tank should be run over and then drowned in cheap beer.

Tank Girl kicks butt and doesn't take whiny prisoners. She and
her other grrlfriends, Jet Girl and Subgirl, have one thing in
mind: To have fun wreaking havoc across the desert.

In the beginning....Tank Girl has a long, sorded history beginning with her two dads, Jaime Hewlett and Alan Martin. After plenty of cheap beer and not much else, they came up with our beloved doll of destruction, Tank Girl. And she debuted in the U.K. comic/music/fashion rag known as Deadline.

As we all know, Tanky and friends had great success in the comic book world. Images of Tank Girl could be seen on shirts, skateboards and, of course, a true hipster would tattoo himself with a grinning Tank Girl.

But like all great things, Hollywood came into the picture to mess things up royally. They forced poor Jamie and Alan to take
truck-loads of money so directors who NEVER read the comic could turn it into an action flick. The REAL Tank Girl would have never given in...well...maybe she would if she could have some fun screwing everything up and making those Hollywood types mad.

But as we both know, the movie just wasn't that great. The REAL Tanky wouldn't be into the Good VS. Evil fight. She just wants a decent can of beer, a good snog with her kangaroo boyfriend and a full tank of gas.

Summary: witty absurd and fantastic
Review: Beautiful art meets great writings. Of course, if one prefers to flog a dead horse of superheroes it could seem "pointless", but this comicbook book classic is still able to broaden any reader's horison - and bring bucketloads of fun!!!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Pointless and Sloppy.
Review: Cute art by Jamie Hewlett can't offset the awful writing of Alan Martin. The stories themselves are pointless and meandering, and the "Brit-icisms" mostly went right over my head. Tank Girl herself is cute, and the adventures of the foul-mouthed, beer-swilling, Kangaroo-shagging minx roaming the futuristic Aussie Outback are fun at times, but mostly just pointless and sloppy. I'm kicking myself not only for buying THIS, but for buying Volume 2 before I read 1.

Summary: Tank Girl is my hero
Review: This book is the best... Tank Girl is my hero. The characters are fabulous, and the dialouge is terrific. There are a thousand little one liners that had me in stitches. There isn't any well developed plot to speak of, but I think a having a plot would totally kill the joy of Tank Girl. It's really low brow humor at it's finest. Everything from the opening story to the Tank Girl monolouges -- it's wonderful.
