Summary: Web Slinging fun !
Review: This guide was very helpful. I am a big Spidey fan and have been since I was six years old. It has as much information as you ever wanted to know about Spideys enemies and allies. They even go up to Spidey 2099. I was very impressed with this book. I also thought it was neat that Stan Lee even did a foreword in it. If it weren't for him, we would never have this cool superhero or supervillains. Tom Defalco went into a lot of detail about the events and Spideys coool gizmos. The only thing is that they should have included monster Ock from the game. I also thought Shocker deserved to be in this book as well. After all he has made it to one of Spideys deadliest enemies. To all you Spider Man fans out there, you should definitely buy this book !.

Summary: amazing
Review: This is a definiteve must have for any spiderfan. But, why four stars instead of five?. Well, I have been a long time fan, so I was a bit disappointed when I saw mistakes in the book. Little mistakes that is. For example, In the book is said that ol' Electro can generate up to 100.000 volts, when is officially stated that is 1'000.000. ItÂ's also mentioned that the Rhino's name has not been revealed, but it was, Alex O'him. I donÂ't remember anymore. Oh, wait, the biggest one, the omission of The Shocker. I would have liked to see sections dedicated to the TV series, as is done in Ultimate X-men. But anyway, I am proud of this stuff.

Summary: Awesome Book!
Review: This is an absolutely beautiful book! I bought it for my five year old and when my husband saw it he wanted one! I had to buy another one for him. The pages are heavy and smooth and the quality of the graphics is excellent. The pictures are gorgeous and it seems like it should cost a lot more than it does; it is a great value!

Summary: The Greatest Guide Around!!
Review: This is an excellent guide to Spiderman. Its in depth detail is great for people who have never read a Spiderman comic. I'd advise buying it if you love Spiderman and want to learn more.

Summary: A Great Look at Spider-Man
Review: This the most comprehensive look at Spider-Man out there. There are a lot of books out now about Spider-Man the Movie, but this is Spider-Man the comicbooks. The comicbooks give you a real sense of the charater and this book takes you into every aspect of the adventures of the webslinger. Covering the major points in the Spider-Man mythos, it captures great moments from the introduction of Venom to the not so popular Clone Saga. All villains and supporting cast members are covered. From the Green Goblin to the Prowler (One of my personal favorites). From Aunt May to Debra Witman. This book has it all. From the large format of the book with incredible pictures and great text. Tom DeFalco did a great job, and he is a Spidey expert. This even has references to the individual issues where the major events took place. Recomended highly for fans of the Comics and especially the Movie.

Summary: This Book is Amazing History Lesson of Spidey
Review: This was a great book. If you have jumped on the Spider-Man bandwagon from the movie then this book is exactly for you. It is very easy to read history of the web head. Follow Spidey from when he got his Spider powers through his relationship with M.J. Watson to the Clone Saga and beyond. If you want to know about Spidey's history and his greatest villians and friends this book is for you. For long time fans this is a great reminder of Spidey. For those looking this is one book to put on your Christmas List.

Summary: Full of boring details....
Review: Tom DeFalco is one of the writers who gave us the clone saga, so right away he has no right to write a guide book on a beloved hero he helped destroy. Better to watch the Spider-Man movie DVD that does contain a better written of history of Spidey and the fact that now film makers treat him much better then the current comic book writers do not.

Summary: Honestly an Ultimate Guide
Review: Tom DeFalco's, "Spider-Man: The Ultimate Guide," is a great place for new fans or experienced fans a place to go to know more about the series. Even though I've been a life-long fan of the series, this book showed me I had plenty to learn about Spider-Man.

DeFalco takes the legend of Spider-Man and breaks it up into easy to read sections. They start with the accident that gives Peter Parker his powers. He writes about the origin of Uncle Ben, Aunt May, Mary Jane Watson-Parker, and the many others in Peter's life. Then he takes the reader through the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and briefly into the new millennium.

Along the way, DeFalco stops to explain in good, easy to read detail. He goes through every enemy and ally Spider-Man has. There are many well-drawn pictures in this book. He covers every major event in the series. Once Spider-Man went to a second edition, DeFalco informs the reader of all the differences between both volumes.

I would highly recommend that you purchase this if you would like to know more about the greatest character in comics. It is a great source of information. Don't go into the Spider-Man movie without knowing your stuff.

Summary: My kids love it!
Review: We bought this book for our five year old who loves Spiderman, but our whole family has enjoyed learning more about the villains and other characters in Spidey's world. It is fun to learn the origin of characters we are familiar with and some we had never heard of before. There are lots and lots of illustrations to keep the kids' attention, and the stories and bios are interesting enough for adults as well. The binding has fallen apart on our book- which may have survived better under normal wear and tear- but that is mostly because my son takes it to bed with him since he loves this book so much. Overall, a great book for kids and adults too.
