Rating: Summary: Mysterious Play Review: Fushigi Yugi is a wonderful story. One of my friends at school read it and said it was good, so I figured, what the heck, I'll try it! They didn't have the first 2 volumes, just the 3rd book, so I got it. I followed the story amazingly well. It was excellent! It really pulled me into the story. I can't wait to get the rest! This story is about a girl who goes into the world of a book, and falls in love with one (more like most) of the character(s). In this volume, Miaka meets Chirchiri (no da?). Tamahome reveals how he really feels about Miaka. Also, Miaka finds Yui. But she's the Priestess of Seiryu! Yui turns on Miaka and insists on ripping Miaka and Tamahome apart.
Rating: Summary: A very romantic story Review: fushigi Yugi is like the second romantic story I have ever read, in this vol. it talks and shows how tamahome really missed miaka and how their relationship really gets closer, I mean once you get to the part where tamahome tells her he loves her your hair will stand straight and your socks will fly off your feet. this vol. is like the begining of the reall adventure for searching for the celestial warriors, it has a lot of cute parts and really funny ones at that, and there are sad parts to it that can really get to your heart, I recommend this book for people who are really into Fushigi yuugi and do not care about spoilers.

Rating: Summary: The Best of FY Manga Review: I have read all four of the Fushigi Yugi manga that are currently out (and am anxiously awaiting November 9th ^_^) and the story in Vol. 3 is by far the best of all of them. While it had a lot of light notes stuck in here and there (especially in Chichiri's few appearances), the overall mood of the story was full of suspense, most definitely when Miaka snuck out of Hong-nan and when Yui's secret was revealed. The part concerning Yui, Miaka, and Tamahome was especially sad and tragic. This is a must-read for all fans of manga! Pick this book up and you will not regret it.

Rating: Summary: Great story! Review: I just got through reading Volume 3: Disciple and it's great! The artwork is wonderful as always and the translation is done pretty good. In this volume, Miaka goes to Qu-Dong to look for her best friend Yui all by herself! Find out what happens when Miaka learns that there is a Priestess of Seiryu whom she believes is Yui. And for all you Chichiri fans out there, Viz decided to keep Chichiri's "no da!" Yay!!
Rating: Summary: You have to read this manga Review: I just picked this up at my local comic store and it's great!!! It's the first one I've bought, but I understood everything. Plus it's only 5 books long!!!! You don't need to spend your life savings.
Rating: Summary: A must-read for manga fans! Review: If you are a manga lover and have not checked out Fushigi Yuugi yet, let me recommend it. I am writing this review for book 3, but I am giving an over-all recommendation for the entire series. Maybe it doesn't have an American T.V. show yet (I stress yet because I dare to dream) but it is one of the best mangas I have read.In this novel, more of the characters are introduced as the heroine (Miaka) searches for her "bodyguards" who will help her make a wish. Major plot twist occur (that I don't want to spoil) as she tries to stay alive in ancient China! I have totally just simplified the plot, and looking back, I didn't do it justice, but I swear that I don't want to spoil any of the story. Maybe I'm just strange, but I totally fell in love with this series and the characters in it (esp. Tamahome), and this book definitely met my expectations. Now all I have to ask is when will the next volume come out? If you're looking for technical stuff, I would recommend that you get the first two volumes first, otherwise it'll be confusing. And, if you wonder about this kind of stuff, there is romance and a little harmless flesh shown. I wasn't offended, but I don't know about others. I recommend this series whole-heartedly, but I am admittedly biased. :) Enjoy!
