Summary: Mixed up peaches
Review: Momo is a high school student with flair, but there are a few problems... She tans too easily, resulting in far too many horrific run-in's with men. Not to mention her peers at school, who think she's a playgirl just because of the shade of her skin. But at least Momo has one friend, Sae Kashiwagi. Wait a minute... Did I just say FRIEND? Well, this is what Momo thinks at first. Until Sae begins to ruin her life. Sae is the worst type of "friend" anyone could ever have. She creates rumors behind Momo's back, jeopardizing Momo's chances with Toji. Toji is Momo's crush, and has been since Jr. High. Her affection for Toji has spurred her to wear SPF 80, and buying sunscreen has become her addiction. ^^ On her craigy high school journey through cliques and jealousy, Momo makes an unlikely accomplice. Kiley, who is in his own way, the most interesting of all of the 'Peach Girl' characters. To say that Momo does not like Kiley very much is an understatement. To Momo, Kiley is just an annoying obstacle in the way of capturing Toji's heart. Will Sae continue to smother Momo's romantic attempts? I'm definately gonna find out. Peach Girl is one of the best manga books I've read in a long time. I encourage you to read it...

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Peach Girl is unique from many other manga series I've read, simply because it doesn't seem like a manga. Unlike "Sailor Moon", "Ayashi No Ceres", and "Magic Knight Rayearth", there is nothing supernatural about Momo. Momo is...well, just a regular teen, struggling to make her way through high school. And there aren't any superhero's or cross-dimensional jumps being made by anyone around her, either.

"Peach Girl" brings the high school scene to life in a startling portrait of cliques, self esteem and love. The characters are vibrantly real and easy to identify with and become attached to. Sae is a wonderful protagonist, the kind of person that raises conflicting emotions in the reader. Momo's sweetness of character, her motivation and drive, and her insecurities will leave readers begging for more.

This series shoots right at the core of common teenage experiences and hits home with stunning artwork and dazzling plot twists. No reader will be dissapointed!

Summary: Peach Girl!!!!
Review: I bought this book, wondering what it would be like or if it was going to be any good. But i was hooked after the 2nd page. See, the book is about a young girl named Momo. She is about 15 or so, and in high school. She has light hair but since she tans easily and is on the swim team, people assume she is a play girl, but she is quite the opposite. She also has a "friend"named Sae. Sae will do anything to take away poor Momo's happiness. She will even try to take Tojo, Momo's dream boy since Jr.High, away!! In this book, momo also meets Kiley, a boy who is particularly interested in Momo. He is sometimes reffered to as a playboy, because rumor has it that he stays with 1 person then goes onto the next.
I really think you should buy this book because it has great characters, original plot, and lots of exciting twists in the story.
So if you love a great book with all the essential elements(not 2 mention really, really good artwork!) then i think u should DEFINTALY get this book as soon as possible!!!!! Thanx everyone!

Summary: Highly addictive!
Review: Pay no attention to the cover pictures, which are often garish, or the title of the series, which may sound a bit childish. Peach Girl is a graphic novel for girls in junior high school and high school, and enjoyable even for college students. It deals with issues like betrayal and sex, and handles them very well. The art inside is beautiful, though the cover pictures can be off-putting, and the characters are engaging. You'll find yourself rooting for the heroine despite yourself because, though fantastically dramatic, the story also has its realistic points. It's funny, engrossing, and extremely addictive. Each issue will have you madly curious to find out what happens next. The one thing I truly dislike about Peach Girl is the months-long wait before each new release.

Summary: AAH! HOW TO DESCRIBE SUCH A GOOD BOOK?
Review: Definitely DEFINITELY one of the best mangas I have ever read, and that says something when I've read basically every manga in the United States. The mixture of drama, romance, and humor is wonderful, and I can really relate to the characters in the book. Although be warned if you only buy one book at a time, because the cliffhangers will make you hungry and eager to buy the next book. I know, that 5 AM trip to the all night comic shop is living proof for me! Peach Girl is not just for girls or shoujo fans...it's for everyone! My little sis, who actually HATES anime and manga to the bone, found herself actually racing me to [local store] to get #3 first! Some topics in the book are a little mature, but they don't last long. I definiely recommend this!

Summary: Wow, ok so Im impressed!
Review: Alright, i was introduced to this series by a firend...i took one look at it and went, "bleh" but after reading this volume, I've been hooked. You get a very strong connection with Momo as you read...and every time Sae opens her big mouth, oh i want to smack her upside the head as much as momo does....definitely good, and not some (no offense) idiotic, far fetched, futuristic superhero manga.

Summary: One of the smartest things SMILE ever did^^
Review: Although most of us already own this through instalments of SMILE we feel compelled to buy the Tankoubon as well.

I also reccomend Mars, which is somewhat similar, & Paradise Kiss because it kicks butt.

Summary: I can't wait to get Peach Girl 2
Review: Miwa Ueda's wonderful story is only surpassed by her beautiful artwork. The story of a girl who is ridiculed in school, has a double-crossing friend, and two boys that cause her no end of trouble is definitely a story for anyone that knows what teenage drama feels like. The story expresses those traumitizing moments with so-called friends, the awkward moments of first relationships, and how annoying it can be to be oneself sometimes.

Summary: Great Manga for Us Ladies, For Once!
Review: As a young woman who enjoys manga, but who also enjoys associating with strong yet feminine female protagonists, I must say that at last a series was sent from Japan that WE Shoujo fans can enjoy! It is also a series with an important message about learning to distinguish between physical stereotypes and the reality of a person's personality. "Beautiful" Sae is not beautiful inside, but even protagonist-Momo's boyfriend Toji cannot get past the association of beauty with purity; Kiley, the one character who can distinguish internal/external beauty is himself stereotyped by Momo as a playboy, when he is much more. And the artwork is Grade-A! Read it or miss out on a good one.

Summary: What's a girl to do?
Review: Have you ever had a friend who wasn't really your friend and that was so jealous of you that they would do anything to make your life miserable and all that harder to go through. Well Momo does, this teen drama romance is a breath of fresh air compared to all the magical shojo were all used to and love. Momo at heart is an ordinary high school girl, besides the fact that everyone labels her as a "beach bunny" because of her easily tanned skin and her bright blonde hair. Which of course she's not,(and it doesn't help that her supposed best friend always manages to spread more rumors about her) All Momo wants is to be her long time crush, Toji's girlfriend. But in the meantime she's caught the eye of Senior Kiley who is widely known for his player ways. But he's different with Momo(sometimes) he actually shows a sweet and honest caring side to her, and up to this point it still hasn't budged her feelings of her crush Toji, but who knows in this drama. Don't be fooled, this manga is excellent even though it doesn't have major action(except for the times Momo hits Kiley:) magical battles or alien forces trying to invade the Earth. Give it a try, trust me, you won't regret it!!!!
