Rating: Summary: *_* All I can say is WO AI TAMAHOME!!!! Review: *SIGH* I can only wish I ever met a guy as handsome and noble as Tamahome... it may not seem that way at first, buy you'll see it in later novels. This book series is chock-full of bishounen (at least 5... and the 5 I'm referring to are main characters!!!) The only thing that I'm concerned about is whether Viz is actually going to use Chichiri's "no da" after every sentence when he shows up or whether they're going to use "ya know." I personally like "no da" better. For those of you who don't know the series already, "Fushigi Yugi" translated into English means "Mysterious Play" (as in playing a game) or "Wonderous Game" or something like that. Poor stupid Miaka and her friend Yui get sucked into an ancient Chinese book and get saved by (bishounen #1) Tamahome. Yui gets thrown back to the real world and continues reading about Miaka's adventures in the book. In book one, you are also introduced to (bishounen #2) Hotohori, the emperor of Konan country, and Nuriko. Nuriko has a secret, however...Yuu Watase rocks!! WO AI FUSHIGI YUUGI!!!
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Graphic Novels I've Ever Read... Review: Fushigi Yugi is about a bouncy eighth grade girl named Miaka. She's just a regular junior high school girl trying to get through exams, but one day she goes inside a restricted library and opens up a book called The Universe of the Four Gods. She gets transported inside the book and finds herself in Ancient China. She had to get out of the book, so she has to find the seven oracles. On her mission she falls in love with a handsome seventeen year old guy named Tamahome. He's caring and does the best for his family by earning as much money as possible - but at first when Miaka tells her feelings for him, he rejects her and says doesn't feel the same way. Eventually Miaka discoveres that the beatiful emperor of Hong-Nan, Hotohori, is in love with her. By then Tamahome also discovers he had fallen in love with Miaka, so it form a love triangle. When this is all happening, Miaka is able to get in her own world...but then her best friend, Yui, who is the one who saved her gets stuck in Ancient China. A day passes by, then Miaka goes back to the restricted library to seek for Yui. She transports back into Ancient China, and she finds out a lot of bad things had happened to Yui during that time. Even though it was only a day in the present time, it was months in the other world. Yui sides with another country, and this forces them to become rivals. This is a good book that has a mixture of romance, friendship, comedy, horror, action and adventure all in one great series. A must-read!
Rating: Summary: Great entertaining book! Review: Fushigi Yugi is the 1st manga book I ever bought. It is very entertaining, definitely will make you laugh out loud! I read the summary of the story on the net before I decided to spend money on the graphic novels. Trust me, it is a totally different experience to see the real plot. Graphic novels are a good choice to buy, because you can read more in one neat book, rather than in lots of books, if you know what I mean. In case you didn't know, FY's third volume is already out-"Disciple" check it out. I personally love the art work of Watase Yuu, it has some really sophisticated, detailed graphs, as well as some funny cute ones! I just love the combination! Anyway, it is 100% worth to own the book, and an absolute page turner, oh and those hopelessly romantic scenes^~^ My e-mail address is zsunny218@hotmail.com, if you have any hesitations towards purchasing this products, feel free to ask anything,ok?

Rating: Summary: Amazingly Good! Review: I got it for christmas and boy is it good! I like it just as much as Ceres! It's beautifully drawn, like anything by Yu Watase it's full of romance too-God I Love it.
Rating: Summary: Ehhh.... Review: I LOVE Fushigi Yugi, but this book wasn't my favorite... It was really dramatic, lots of action, and every page left you with a cliff hanger, but it was borderline cliche... I hope the next book gets back to the storyline, as this one was a big drawn out arguement over who ways gonna de-virginize (thats not even a WORD) Miaka. I would recomend this book to any FY fan, though. But don't let your parents read it... o.O; mine were like, "Er......soap opera?"
Rating: Summary: Ehhh.... Review: I own all the anime and am currently working my way through the manga. I just love this series, even though Miaka can be annoying. All the other characters make up for that! In this volume, Miaka is helped by someone she thought had died, and she is found by a Seiryu Celestial Warrior. Miaka ran away from Tamahome in the previous book (it seems like she's always running off - she really should learn better communication skills), because she thinks she is no longer a virgin, capable of being Priestess of Suzaku. Watase's artwork is beautiful, and I love the comments sections that she occaisionally adds on the side. There are even a few (only a few, so don't get your hopes up) extras in the book, such as a "What's so fushigi about Fushigi Yuugi?" comic strip. This volume is fairly late in the series, so I would recommend reading some of the earlier volumes first, but this series is really very good.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE FUSHIGI YUGI! Review: i recommend that everyone should read this book! it's the best i've ever seen! nothing can replace it! it's even better if you saw the movie! i did! so look for the movie too! trust me, you'll love it! thanx!
Rating: Summary: Wo Ai Fushigi Yugi(I love Fushigi Yugi) Review: I was sad reading the ending. It made me want to cry. After watching the series it made me cry even more!!
Rating: Summary: this is just great i can't think of a title Review: In this volume of FY miaka and the others land on an all female man hating island so you can guess there will be quite a few laughs there. Then it starts getting serious when they finally get 2 Be-gin. First Tamahone runs into Yui and finds out he a character in a book and Nuroku is going through quite a few changes including falling 4 miaka. Also this wolf-man has his hart set on killing Nuroku. Overall this is a great book and FY fans will luv it.
