Summary: Action-packed, hilarious, and sweet
Review: No other work has ever counterbalanced martial arts, gender-role comedy, and such rich, believable quasi-romance. You'd be hard-pressed to find a work that effectively works even two of those elements. A great buy.

Summary: How can I explain the feelings I get from this book?
Review: Yeow! This is the gateway to the most hillarious and romantic series I have ever seen, and I've seen a bunch. To those who love Manga, and even to those who do ot, as long as you are not scared of free will, then this is the series for you!

Summary: Silly, but very entertaining story about a half boy/girl
Review: There is no doubt that Rumiko Takahashi has a wonderful sense of humor, besides being a great artist and storyteller. Ranma 1/2 chronicles the hilarious mis/adventures of Ranma, a young man "cursed" with the ability to change into a well-endowed girl when doused with cold water, and to change back to normal when splashed with hot water. The other characters are fascinating too. There's Akane --Ranma's unwilling fiancée, Shampoo--the Chinese Amazon who fell in love with Ranma , Ryoga--Ranma's pseudo-friend who turns into black piglet etc. A lot of martial arts fun, identity confusion, parodies and adolescent hi-jinks.

Summary: The first will always be the best
Review: I've read volumes 1-11 and number one is still the best of all the Ranma volumes. It's good for anyone who likes comedy, martial arts, and romance. The book keeps a comic theme, while dealing with a deep love relationship, inside a training dojo for Anything Goes Martial Arts. A must have for anyone.

Summary: Very bad if you fall into spring!
Review: When these fateful words are ignored, Ranma Saotome's life changes radically. Not only his life, but his... body? Ranma is an average teenager with usual problems. He has moved to an unfamiliar neighborhood, he's having problems at home, he turns into a female when splashed with cold water... ! With more humour, more action, and better storytelling than you can shake a skirt at, Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma has to deal with Akane, his unwilling fiancee, a male rival who has fallen in love with his female persona, and a murderous classmate from his old school, who has a secret he would kill Ranma to avenge himself for. A triumph in graphic literature!

Summary: A great, terrific, funny series
Review: This is one of the funniest comics, I've ever read (Not to mention one of the only comics I've ever read). This is a definate must-have for any anime/manga fan.

Summary: A very hilarious story!
Review: This is a vary hilarious story involving Ranma, a martial artist. The only problem is, he changes into a girl! Yes, you heard me rignt. Just add cold water and Ranma changes into a girl. Hot water reverses the effect, but only until the next time. Add in a father that turns into a panda, a fiancee that he forced to be engaged to, and people who want him dead, and you have a great story! And now, you can see how it all began, in this the first volume of the Ranma 1/2 series

Summary: Great Japanese Manga Silliness!
Review: This book is the first of the very very long Ranma 1/2 series that followed. It is quite simply - hilarious! Story is extremely silly (what did you expect??) but the manga is really, really great. Read it when you need a good laugh! Check out the wacky Manga humor!
