Summary: Don't put this comic off any longer! You're missing out!
Review: Holden Carver is deep undercover, working for the bad guys. He's in SO deep that the only person who can substantiate his true involvement with the good guys is in a coma. So now he's stuck.

This is a world of good guys and bad guys; literally superheroes and villains. You don't see too much of the good guys because there's off rescuing sinking cities, etc. It's the bad guys who Holden is running with, which I find very interesting. I haven't read too many stories where the protagonist is a bad guy. They all have villainous names (e.g. Genocide, Miss Misery) and work for an even more sinister man named Tao.

This series really does have it all: espionage, superheroes, humor, excitement, sex. It's written extremely well and is not your little brother's comic, that's for sure. I completely recommend this series and if you don't like it, you're a moron.

Summary: Smart, Innovative Writing and Great Artwork
Review: I really enjoyed the 2 Sleeper books. The story telling is excellent. The method used for revealing the characters origins was something I hadn't seen before. The fact that these characters have super powers is almost an afterthought to the story which is refreshing. The plot twists keep you guessing and you really find yourself rooting for even the vilest of the villains Holden befriends.

The artwork is very good (in that heavy dark inking style). The artwork in the origin re-tellings is even better.

I'm a casual comic reader who just recently came back to graphic novels as an adult. The content in this book is definately adult in nature. Plenty of violence, sex and language... but it is used to further the plot of the story so it doesn't come off as over the top.

Summary: Good storytelling, but definitely R-rated
Review: I'm halfway through reading this collection, but I'm not sure if I'll finish it. The storytelling and characterization is great, and there are a lot of innovative ideas here, but the material is definitely R-rated. I had no idea that there would be so much profanity and sex in this series. Had I known that, I definitely wouldn't have purchsed this collection.

Summary: The best comic you're not reading!!!
Review: While most people out there are reading the same old things,(ie, Superman; X-Men; Spiderman; etc.)they end up missing this amazing title. The story follows deep cover operative Holden Carver as he attempts to survive in a dangerous criminal orginazation. Described as "The Sopranos" for comics this is a must have for comic lovers.

Summary: A New Favorite
Review: Wow! Great concept, great storytelling, great plot, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Caution: definitely for mature readers. Don't buy this for your kids, or anyone else's kids. But if you're looking for a new series to follow, one that doesn't recycle the same hoary old plotlines, this is it.
