Summary: A Great Book
Review: If you like Gary Larson but don't know which book to buy, this is the one. It is hilarious, has cow stuff. I asure you you'll laugh your brains out. Well, at least it happened to me

Summary: a great hillarous collection of humorous comics
Review: it is hillarious book of comic strips. It is filled with great animation. My favorite strip out the whole book was when the fly was huge and the lady told the guy to stomp it

Summary: many redundncies with the 2000 edition, but worthwhile
Review: Money spent on a good laugh is always money well spent and Gary Larson almost never lets you down. Problem is: Gary Larson doesn't make any new cartoons anymore, so the off-the-wall calendar each year warms up another best-of selection from the vast trunks of his work. Nothing wrong with that. They are all great. This year's calendar in addition had hilarious historical comments from past milleniums. Now I have already sneak-previewed the 2001 selection of jokes and find many redundancies with this year. While there are a lot of favorites that I have been dying to see again, there are some that could have gone back to the trunk for a little while longer. Overall impression: good enough to satisfy Larson-junkies, but not outstanding. Gary, pick up the pencil and draw some more!

Summary: One of my Personal Favorites
Review: Not only being Gary Larson's first gallary book of the Far Side series but, a classic. Holding in it some of the most memorable and most enjoyable comic panels. A must have for anyone who collects Far Side books or anything relating with Far Side. A great book even if it is your first Gary Larson book to be interested in, a must have! The First Far Side Gallery, will always hold a special place on my book shelf. Be sure to check out his other books as well! Also if you want a laugh 365 days a year check out Gary Larson's "Off the Wall Desk Calender". its great, give you something to laugh at every day!

Summary: Funny, absurd cartoons
Review: Sick, absurd humor is Larson's specialty, and in this collection, Larson is at his best. Many of the cartoons involve reversals of the roles of species, where animals get their revenge on humans. Others are based on themes from popular culture, such as Tonto on his horse outside the outhouse telling Kemosabe that the music is starting. They are funny, but there are times where you have to spend some time interpreting the diagram. If you are a fan of Larson's unique brand of humor, then you will love this collection.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: The Far Side is my favorite comic, out of all. It is positively loaded with randomness that will catch you off guard. Larson's comics are the kind that makes you think about what is going on, comparing the picture to the caption, and it is hysterical. There are scizophrenic kangaroos, plane driving sheep, duck relays, and pretty much any other twisted idea out there.

ANY Far Side book is one that will never fail to please.

Summary: Greatist Cartoon Around
Review: This book is a hilarious collection of every Far Side cartoon that appeared in the earliest days of the strip. The human is weird, but very intelligent, and is of the kind that either you love it or you hate it. Instead of buying the smaller Far Side books buy the Far Side Gallery instead, you'll get more Far Side for less money. If you already love the Far Side you need this book.

Summary: Far SIde, a collection of masterpeices
Review: This book is just pages of laughs, you can shut it once you start reading. The full page color pictures are great. All in all this is a great book especially if you love Gary Larson like i do

Summary: A Successful Quirky Comic Series!
Review: This is a great book! Gary Larson's Farside comic strip was quirky and fun and it's a shame that he retired from writing his sydicated comic strips in the paper because it was so original and unlike any thing else on the newspaper comic pages. There are newer comic strips that try to copy Gary Larson's Farside but they aren't as good. It's great to have this book and look at Farside when I feel I need to look at some funny quirky comics and I recommend this book!
