Summary: Too Much Information
Review: If you are a hardcore Simpson fan, you might like the way this book approaches the Simpsons. Although I like reading Simpson's comics and watching the TV show, I found this book extremely boring with too much facts and information that maybe funny at first. None the less, it is a book you cannot sit down and just read. I couldn't stand reading past the first 20 pages. I would not recommend this one, but get another of the Simpson comics.

Summary: More of the Same, Which is Fantastic!
Review: If you're not a Simpsons fan... well, why aren't you a Simpsons fan? With that out of the way, this book's only flaw is that it doesn't contain video tapes of the actual episodes.

An updated continuation of the original Simpsons guide book (and designed and laid-out identically), "The Simpsons Forever" is an essential part of any Simpsons fan's personal library. Not only is it packed with the same sort of info that makes the first volume a winner, it also includes lyrics to many of the show's hilarious songs. This is a fitting tribute to one of the show's major components- the brilliant work of composer Alf Clausen (and the various writers who penned those crazy lyrics). And, like the original, you get plot synopses, hysterical lines and guides to the various film references "The Simpsons" includes in nearly every episode. It's all in full color, too!

So if you're jonesing on the Family Simpson, get off the couch and buy this book. Then get back on the couch and memorize it.

Summary: Review by a typical teen
Review: It was a good book that had a lot of funny things that you didn't catch in the episode itself

Summary: continuing as it should
Review: Just as nicely laid out and detailed as The Complete guide. This continues from season's 9-10. The only draw back is the price. Compared to the first books value for money - this is slightly less as it is about 2/5 the length. It is still a great read.

Summary: Picks right up where the first book left off!
Review: Like its predecessor, "The Simpsons Forever!" is a must have for any fan of the show. For those of you who don't own that first book, you'll want to pick it up as it is loaded with information on the first eight seasons. For those of you who do own the first book rest assured that you aren't paying for duplicate information, this book only covers seasons nine and ten.

"The Simpsons Forever" uses the same grid format as the first book, which makes it very easy to find that favorite quote or missed moment. Likewise, it is an equally high quality item, featuring the same beautiful color and heavy-duty paper. Finally, it has some nice extras at the end, including a tribute to Troy McClure (the late Phil Hartman) and a listing of who does what voice (which has provided some closure to the endless guessing my wife and I subject each other too!).

If you are a fan of The Simpsons, you definitely want to pick this up. Whether you read it cover to cover, or just keep it handy when watching the show, it is great fun. Also, as the seasons are released on DVD, it will make for an excellent companion volume to the discs.

Enjoy!

Summary: Simpsons Rule!
Review: Simpsons is something fun and interesting to watch. This book is the best. I wish it came out more often. Although I'll miss Maude Flanders and Troy McClure, I know that I'll see them again someday. May Matt touch your heart as he's touched mine.

Summary: Companion volume to the essential Simpsons reference
Review: The 2nd volume of the essential Simpsons episode guide, with detailed plot summaries, trivia, dialogue highlights, sight gags, and more. If you have the first volume, you need the second, and vice versa. Hopefully, there will be another, or perhaps one volume that combines all.

Summary: Seasons 9-10, Complete
Review: The first book covers seasons 1-8. This book only covers two seasons: 9 and 10. Each episode gets a two page spread, while many of the episodes in the first book only had one page. This allows far greater detail to be covered.

I keep all (currently) three books near the TV, and I'll review the pages for each episode before I watch the rerun. In doing so, it opens my eyes to a lot of the little details that I missed the first fifty times I saw the episode.

Essentially, this is the owners manual for seasons 9 and 10.
