Summary: The laughter continues . . .
Review: I already own the first Simpsons Guide, which is why I was pleased to discover that this one was available to continue the hilarity of the most recent seasons. Profiles on new characters, song lyrics, scene snapshots, and much more, this is a great resource book that you'll find yourself reaching for again and again.

Summary: It fails to justify the many mistakes in the show
Review: I can understand the book's value as a companion to the show, but it comes up short at the level of explaining simple mistakes in the show. I don't want to get too detailed, but there have been some instances where, for example, a character does something to change his appearance, and a few frames later, he is back to the way he was. Also, certain things have happened to characters that haven't carried on to other episodes. Like when it is revealed that Homer has the birthmark of the Stonecutters on his backside, yet in future episodes, his posterior is devoid of any markings. Another example is when Kirk Van Houghten gets his arm chopped off when driving in his convertible, yet later in the episode, both arms are intact. What are we to believe, that he has some sort of magical arm?

I have brought these and other issues to the attention of the show's producers, and registered my complaints on their website, but the books still don't attempt to give any justification for their inconsistencies.

Summary: It seems a little forced!!
Review: I think this sequel of "A complete guide" was something like "let's make another book, make little reviews of episodes and add some bad stuff at the end and between seasons and PRESTO!".

I still like it though, but it doesn't feel quite right, by the way BEYOND FOREVER it's a better book, they did put more effort in it.

Summary: One Great Simpons Book
Review: I thought that Simpons Forever was great. It was not as good as the first one considering it only has two seasons. I think the bio's on the side were great and helpful. The only other problem was the storys. They were too short Otherwise this book was GREAT!

Summary: A bit thin, but a great continuation
Review: I'm of two minds about this book. As a rabid Simpsons fan, I love the continuation and expansion of the work done in the original Simpsons Forever!. This book continues to give us the view of Season 9 and 10 with all the gags and references that this smart show has to offer. Plus it expands on work done in the earlier book by taking some sweeping 10 season view of recurring gags such as the chalkboard. It belongs on the shelf right next to the original, to be read and laughed at all the time. I'm certainly glad I didn't have to wait 8 more seasons for the second guide.

On the other hand, the fact that this only covers two seasons, as compared to the original eight, bothers the economical sie of me. While yes, there is some material that ties Season 9 and 10 to Seasons 1 - 8, I don't always know if it si worth the price. Were it not a continuation of a great first book, this would be grossly overpriced.

As it is, though, The Simpsons Forever!...Continued is a worthy successor and helps keep the Simpsons Mania going.

Summary: A necessary companion piece.
Review: If The Simpsons Forever! isn't crammed as full of information as its predecessor, A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family, it remains a must-have book for any fan of The Simpsons. The Simpsons Forever! picks up where that book left off, covering the ninth and tenth seasons of the show, as well as filling in a few holes that surprisingly did exist in the first book. It really is helpful only if you own the first book as well--though the style is essentially identical, and the book is of incredibly high quality, this book isn't the exhaustive compilation of Simpsons information that the first one was. If you already own the first book, you need to own this one as well. If you don't, you should still buy this one, but buy the other first.
