Summary: Inu talk
Review: Inuyasha. the manga (in my view) shows ALOT more FEEL then the anime in the anime they all seem ... I don't know boxy the manga has that spark no to pages are alike... unfortunity it reads left to right to everything is backwards... my favorite chars. would have to be shippo, and seshomaru. though Ranma 1/2 is my preferable of the two both are quite funny and have intrecete characters...

Summary: Only the Beginning...
Review: Kagome is a 15 year old girl who lives in modern day Tokyo. On her 15th birthday, she is pulled through the Bone-eater's well by a demon and travels back in time to Japan's Sengoku Jidai (or age of warring states) about 500 or so years ago. It is here that she meets Inu-Yasha, a half-demon who tried to steal a powerful jewel, the Shikon no Tama, in order to become a full demon. However, the priestess who guarded the jewel, Kikyou, used an arrow to trap Inu-Yasha magically for before dying herself from fatal injuries. She had the jewel cremated with her, and now Kagome, who is the re-incarnation of Kikyou, has brought the jewel back to the Sengoku Jidai 50 years later, and releases Inu-Yasha from the entrapment spell. Not long after this the jewel is shattered, and Inu-Yasha is forced to pair up with Kagome (against his will at first) in order to collect the shards.

The first Inu-Yasha comic ran in Shonen Sunday Isuue 50, December 1996, nine months after Takahashi's most successful series "Ranma 1/2" ended. Although it has a darker tone to it than Ranma, Inu-Yasha's tactiful blend of comedy, romance and violence has helped it to become another very successful series by Rumiko Takahashi.

Summary: Give it a chance!
Review: Many people have complained that Inu-Yasha's story has been overused, lacks good characters, etc. First of all, this is the FIRST manga. We BARELY even KNOW the characters now. Way more info is headed our way, and the plot is going to become much more complex. I kid you not. Like I said, this is the FIRST volume. The plot is only just getting started.

Inu-Yasha may seem cliched but it's not. One viewer complained Kagome lacked personality. Once again, this is the FIRST volume. We get to know Kagome's character much better. Yes, OF COURSE Inu-yasha and her are going to fall in love. But it's definetly not going to be like Fushigi Yuugi where they fall in love at the second volume and make out in every novel. Absolutely not! This is a SHONEN series. Meaning it's mainly targeted for MALES (no, this doesn't mean females won't enjoy it. I'm a female, and I enjoyed it A LOT). Meaning it has more action than romance.

About the whole collecting the shards so no evil villain will try to get them--I know it sounds like a HUGE cliche, but there's much more significant things about the jewel shards and everything and a reminder for the last time, this is the FIRST volume! Don't expect so much coming out of one volume. Read up to volume 12, and THEN decide whether you still hate Inu-Yasha.

Summary: Best Japanese anime/manga ever!
Review: Ok. First, let me got this straight. This is the absolute BEST Japanese comic I've ever read! And let me tell you, I don't often hand out praise like that lightly. I mean it. I was first introduced to this story last year, while sitting on the bus with my friend, when she pulled out a manga (from lack of anything better to do) and started reading. Well, I read over her shoulder, and got so totally engrossed in the story that I didn't even notice when the bus finally stopped! The characters in this book are portrayed so realistically that I was continually laughing, crying, and sympathizing with them as I read. Volume 1, volume 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and god knows how many other volumes sped by my eyes so quickly that I'm amazed I didn't go blind at the speed that I was reading. I even went on the Internet to hunt for the translations from the Japanese version of Inu-Yasha so that I could hurry up and find out what happened next. I'm totally obsessed and in love with this story! Inuyasha is a wonderfully complex yet simple character that makes people totally relate to him, while everything Kagome does brings a warm-hearted, cheerful smile to your face. I am definitely supportive of the two's up and down relationship and I seriously love the action, romance, humour, and adventure that's all crammed into this one book. I recommend it to anybody, everybody, and especially those people who like a little bit of everything. Please take some time to read this comic! It certainly won't be a waste of time, and worth your while. ^_^

Summary: A nicely done supernatural tale with a young girl thrown in.
Review: Packed with gothic creepiness, action-filled adventure, and witty humor, this new Japanese fable takes place where a pubescent young schoolgirl named Kagome goes tumbling just like Alice in Wonderland into the otherworldly land of the feudal times to meet an arrogant dog-eared demon called Inu-Yasha. With his help, Kagome wards off the very repulsive Centipede Lady, who is after the magical jewel that she had been unknowingly carrying ever since ... she had been laid to burn on the pate in the olden days. Could she be the very recarnation of the courageous young priestess who had bravely sacrificed herself to put the destructive Inu-Yasha under the spell in the first place? The long tapestry will unroll as Kagome and Inu-Yasha who had reluctantly befriended her encounter even more bloodthirsty foes and vemonous monsters, including a very sexy and busty young mistress of razor-sharp hair strands. A very chilling but interesting read for all the fans of manga and Rumiko Takahashi.

Summary: Enter The World Of Feudal Japan...
Review: Rumiko Takahashi is the writer of InuYasha, which is known by fans has being a Feudal Fairy Tale. InuYasha is a story about a average schoolgirl who is taken back in time through a well on her family's property. She soon discovers many facts abut herself and her destiny that makes one realize that she in no average schoolgirl. She, with the help of Inuyasha, a half human, half demon hybrid, must gather the shards of a Sacred Jewel that gan give demons enormous amounts of power. Now, one might think that this is just a simple story, that can't be very interesting, but one would be very wrong. InuYasha is a 'historical action and romance from one of Japan's most beloved creators' with a touch of gothic horror. What more could one want? With a cast full of interesting characters, and even more interesting villains, anyone reading InuYasha will instantly fall in love with at least one of the characters, and instantly hate a few has well. I myself have read all the books in this series to date (Jan. 7, 2004) that are available. But, if you want to find anymore out about Kagome and Inuyasha's adventures, well... you'll just have to read the book yourself.

Summary: AWESOME INU YASHA :)
Review: This book is AWESOME. It really, truly is worth every penny you spend on it. The artwork is simply amazing, and right away you get hooked on the characters and the plot. Inu Yasha starts out very mean and nasty and selfish, but as the story goes on, you start to think that he just might have a bit of a soft side to him. Kagome is the only manga/anime female character I've ever known to have common sense, though she's a bit ditzy. The way the villagers talk in the book annoys me at times, but other than that, I think the English translations (from Japanese) are quite accurate. Truly, a wonderful read. I urge you to buy all the Inu Yasha manga you can...and check out the anime, too! Takahashi Rumiko's works are all AWESOME (including Mermaid Saga and Ranma 1/2).

Summary: Good Book, Great Buy!
Review: This book is the coolest manga ever! Although the one I got has different covers, it has the same pages, but no table of contents. It helped me understand how InuYasha and Kagome met, where Kagome lives, how she traveled through time, and why the centipede-demon was after her. I bought this book not online, but in Books-a-Million in Tallahassee, FL.

It will quickly draw you into the storyline. If you're a fan of InuYasha, but don't like to read, buy this book and you won't EVER want to put it down ever again! >:^D

Summary: Inu Yasha is Awesome!!!!!!!!!
Review: This book rules!!!!!!!! It is one of the best books in the world!!!!!!! It is the first book in the manga series Inu Yasha.

Anyway It's all about a high school girl namd Kagome who falls in a well and goes to ancient Japan. She meets a doglike halfdemon named Inu Yasha. Inu Yasha is a real bad dude at first, but he gets nicer. They are going around to find all of the shards of the Shikon Jewel.

Rumiko Takahashi the author of this book is a great author. She also created another really good manga called Ranma 1/2, but Inu Yasha is better!! I encourage you to buy lots of Inu Yasha books (there are lots out) and also check out the seies Ranma 1/2!!!!!!!!! This book is worth all the money!!!
